Charu Asopa's Ex-Husband, Rajeev Questions Her Financial Crunches Claims, 'She Afforded Cruise Trip'

Charu Asopa recently made it to the headlines after a video of her selling suit pieces online made rounds on social media. It left people shocked as Charu is a well-established actress in the television industry. Later, the actress confirmed that she had left acting and shifted her base back to her hometown, Bikaner. She revealed to the Hindustan Times that she has been facing financial crunches and couldn't afford to live in Mumbai, which is why she left the city.

Charu Asopa also stated that she had informed her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen about moving back to her hometown and dropped him a text. She also added that Rajeev could come to meet their daughter, Ziana anytime he wanted. Now, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rajeev Sen reacted to Charu's claims. He blasted Charu for keeping their daughter, Ziana, away from him.

Rajeev Sen questions Charu Asopa's claims of facing financial struggles and says she has afforded a cruise trip

When asked about his reaction to Charu starting an online clothing business, Rajeev said that he's glad that his ex-wife is working hard and trying to earn more money. Well, Rajeev further questioned the validity of Charu's claims of her financial crunches. He revealed that Charu recently splurged on a cruise trip and paid for the tickets of her brother and sister-in-law. Asking where this financial struggle came into play, Rajeev questioned:

"She could afford a cruise trip with her brother and his wife—which is pretty expensive—and she paid for everyone’s ticket. Where does this financial struggle come into play?"

Rajeev Sen hints that Charu Asopa falsely claimed her financial struggles

In the same interview, Rajeev Sen further backed his question about Charu Asopa's financial crunches by stating that she might have a home in her hometown already. He also stated that, as Charu claimed, if she wished to get a home there, even with a loan, then it would take a whole lot of money. Rajeev also mentioned Charu keeps up with her daily shopping, which she showcases in her vlogs, which proves that she's not struggling financially. He claimed that, as Charu stated she wanted to buy a property, it shouldn't be the wish of someone who has financial crunches in the first place. In Rajeev's words:

"She’s looking to buy a house in Bikaner—or maybe already has—which takes serious money. Even with a loan, buying property isn’t cheap. Plus, if she’s managing cruises and her regular shopping—as seen in her daily vlogs—it clearly shows she’s not struggling financially. Anyone truly under financial stress wouldn’t even dream of buying property."

Rajeev Sen blasts Charu Asopa for crying about her midlife crisis to the media

In the same interview, Rajeev Sen blasted Charu Asopa further for talking to the media every day and discussing her issues, including financial struggles. He mentioned that the only difference between him and Charu is that he doesn't call the media to 'cry' about a midlife crisis or show them his bank statements. He stated that he feels that no one should discuss money in public, but his ex-wife has turned it into YouTube content, and he feels sorry for her. Rajeev mentioned:

"The difference between me and Charu is that I don’t call the media daily to cry about a midlife crisis. I won’t show my bank statements or discuss who gave what—money should never be discussed publicly, which she’s turned into content for YouTube. I genuinely feel sorry for her."
