The 31-year-old right-wing activist was assassinated on September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University, leaving the entire nation devastated. The late leader will be honoured with a final goodbye and a massive public memorial service to be live-streamed worldwide. From the airing time, television channels, and expected attendees, here’s everything you need to know about Charlie Kirk’s funeral proceedings.

When and where is the service?

According to reports, Charlie Kirk’s memorial begins Sunday, September 21, at 11 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET, 11:30 p.m. IST) at the State Farm Stadium, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, Arizona. The doors open at 8 a.m. local time, with free seating available for those registering via fightforcharlie.com. All the attendees are asked to wear ‘Sunday best’ in red, white, or blue.

Though the admission is free, the seating will be first-come, first-served. With organisers expecting more than 100,000 mourners to gather in and around the venue, there could be an overflow of crowds. For the unversed, the venue has a fixed capacity of 63,400 that can expand to 73,000. The seating arrangements have also been made at the neighbouring Desert Diamond Arena, which seats another 19,000.

For those unable to attend the funeral in person, there will be wide coverage available on both broadcast and streaming platforms. Viewers can watch the proceedings live on television through CNN, Fox News, ABC News Live, CBS News, and NewsNation. Those wanting to stream the service can access it through DirecTV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling, and LiveNOW from Fox. Turning Point USA has also announced that followers can stream the entire service live on Kirk’s official Rumble account.

Fox News is going to arrange special news coverage for the late conservative commentator, starting with Fox & Friends Weekend at 6 a.m. ET and ending with Remembering Charlie Kirk at 2 p.m. ET. LiveNOW from Fox will stream the coverage for global viewers at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET, 9:30 p.m. IST).

Expected guest list and speakers

With the whole nation mourning the untimely passing of Charlie Kirk, the memorial service will see a lineup of elite attendees and speakers. President Donald Trump, who was also the first to confirm Kirk’s death, is expected to announce a Presidential Medal of Freedom for Kirk. 

Charlie’s widow, Erika Kirk, who was recently announced as the new CEO of Turning Point USA, will be speaking at the funeral. Other expected dignitaries include Vice President JD Vance, Marco Rubio (Secretary of State), Pete Hegseth (Secretary of Defence), and Tulsi Gabbard (Director of National Intelligence). Donald Trump Jr is also expected to attend, along with Tucker Carlson, Stephen Miller, Susie Wiles, Sergio Gor and other Trump administration insiders.

Who will perform?

Charlie Kirk, a devout Christian, will have a memorable service, with performances from Christian artists Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, and Phil Wickham. Country legend Lee Greenwood will reportedly sing God Bless the USA in the late leader’s honour.

At 18, he founded Turning Point USA, which has since grown into one of the most influential conservative youth organisations in the country. His death leaves a profound void in right-wing activism and a young family behind: a grieving wife and two toddlers.

The alleged murderer of Charlie Kirk has been identified as 22-year-old former Utah State University student Tyler Robinson, with the FBI labelling it as a ‘political assassination’. 

Kirk’s legacy at Turning Point USA will now be carried forward by his widow, Erika Kirk.
