Chandrachur Singh is one of the most talented actors of his generation. He had made his debut with the award-winning film, Maachis in 1996, which gave him immediate recognition and fame. For the unversed, Chandrachur was initially a trained music teacher at Vasant Valley School, and was also a history teacher at his alma mater, The Doon School, before he entered into films. After doing a couple of films post his debut, he had a major setback in his professional career, when he suffered from a shoulder dislocation due to an accident that occurred to him while water skiing in Goa. It was 2020 when Chandrachur made his comeback with the series, Arya opposite Sushmita Sen.
Recently, an old clip of Salman Khan during one of his previous appearances in the show, Koffee With Karan has been going viral on social media. In the particular clip, the actor revealed that he took up the character of ‘Aman’ in the film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, since all other actors, including Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh were doing nothing at that point of time. However, it seems that Chandrachur didn’t approve of the statements made by Salman and immediately took to the comment section to point out the same. He blatantly wrote a comment, which he deleted later. From the screengrabs that have been still preserved, Chandrachur’s comment can be read as:

In the same thread of comments, a netizen enquired Chandrachur’s reaction to calling Salman Khan a liar. He wrote:
“Mere paas Josh, Daag the fire, kya kehna, silsila hai pyar ka etc. this. I made a choice.”

Fast forward to now, Chandrachur has been a happy, single dad to his son, whom he has raised alone. In one of his past interviews, the actor had spoken about the same and mentioned:
“Actually, I am a single father so that took up most of my time. I am pretty hands-on; I needed to be. So, I was occupied being a father for most of my time. I am actually not very skilled at handling social media. My son is going to teach me more about it. It is not my cup of tea so far but there will be a time when I will have much more work and I can then connect with the people about my work. Otherwise, I am not very media savvy."
