We have always assumed a celeb life to be full of roses, but have you ever imagined thousands of unknown people pouring in insulting and demeaning comments on your social media posts? Not a cakewalk, right? Some question them if they speak their heart out and when they don’t, their silence is questioned. In simple words, there’s no easy way for celebrities. Unfortunately, trolls have become that parasite of social media which sometimes forces a celeb to digital detox. Some celebrities make sure to give the trolls a taste of their own medicine. Bade Acche Lagte Hain fame, Chahatt Khanna is one such celebrity, who handles the troll in a befitting way. Chahatt and her ex-husband, Farhan Mirza had tied the knot in February 2013 but five years into their marital bliss, they had decided to part ways. Chahatt has always given a glimpse of her personal life through Instagram, and it was a picture of hers with her daughters, Zoharr and Amaira that had raised speculations about her split with Farhan. Her caption of a picture with Zoharr and Amaira had the hashtag, ‘single mom’. It was only later when she had confirmed in an interview that she had parted ways with Farhan and since then, the ex-couple has been washing their dirty linen in public.

Chahatt Khanna had deactivated her Instagram account but before doing that, she had lashed out on haters, who slammed her for being a single mother. Hitting back at the troll, Chahatt shared an Insta story, “Witches and bitches who can never get love, bf or family in life, forget about kids, they will never understand that kids a blessing and not a liability, or target to put a woman down.” In another Insta story, she wrote, “No I am not running away, just that I’ll be busy with work, for a few days.”
Since everyone is following the lockdown and is staying at home to prevent the pandemic to increase further, the struggles have also doubled in every house. In an interview with The Times of India, when Chahatt was asked if she has any advice for the mothers to manage their kids in the quarantine, she had retorted, "Please keep them indoors. Give them household tasks to keep them busy, let them study and play from home and build their immune system." Emphasising on the challenges that are put forth as a single mother, Chahatt Khanna had said, "It's very difficult to be in the house and there are two kids who want my attention 24 by 7. So, I can't even step out, I can't even do anything. Of course, being a single parent is more difficult because I don't have anyone to watch my back. So, what I am doing is - giving them the household tasks, specially my elder one. I give her credits and I give her the household tasks to complete. With all of this, I am also taking care of their immunity and giving them vitamin C. So, they don't fall sick."
In another interview with the Zoom, Chahatt Khanna had revealed how and when she realised the term ‘single mother’ as insulting. Chahatt had stated, "It is a very insulting term, and I realised this much later. There is a term called Milf which these guys, doggers use for women who are elder to them, married, single parent, single mom, divorced and they think people like them are good to have fun with. This is a hard-hitting fact of our society which I just discovered a few days back and I was shattered when I came to know this. This is what happens when she steps out of her marriage."
On the professional front, Chahatt Khanna had collaborated with her neighbour, Mika Singh and the duo had released a video named Quarantine Love. Announcing the release of the song, Mika had written, “Enjoy my #quarantinelove with @chahattkhanna .. BADE ACHHE LAGTE HAIN:)” Revealing her collaboration with Mika for the song, in an interview with the IANS, Chahatt was quoted as saying, "Mika and I had plans of collaborating since a long time, but nothing had materialised. But now that we are just homebound, and we are neighbours, we thought of creating something exciting. It was just the two of us who shot it, and we had taken all the precautions while shooting it. It was super fun, and I am sure everyone is going to love the outcome.” (Also Read: Charu Asopa Sen Reacts On Being Trolled For Posting Her 'Too Private' Pictures With Hubby Rajeev Sen)
