Celina Jaitly's Husband Peter Hid Her Passport, She Ran Away To India With The Help Of Her Neighbour

Celina Jaitly is fighting the toughest battle of her life. The former actress, who starred in films like No Entry, Apna Sapna Money Money, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Golmaal Returns, and more, filed a domestic violence case against Peter Haag. When the news of Celina’s case hit the headlines, it was difficult for her fans to process the news that she always looked happy with her husband, Peter, in the pictures she shares on social media.

Celina Jaitly’s marriage has been abusive since the beginning

However, as per the latest news, Celina has been a victim of physical violence, verbal cruelty, and manipulation. Celina’s lawyer, Niharika Karanjawala, spoke about the case in an interview with News18 and revealed that the actress’s marriage had been abusive since the beginning. However, the death of her parents and the loss of one of her twins drove her into depression.

In the same interaction, Celina’s lawyer revealed that Peter was in charge of Celina’s finances and had taken all her credit and debit cards. He often changes jobs, and she couldn’t ask anything related to the finances or his salary. In her words:

“He made her give him all her credit and debit cards so that he was in-charge financially. He was using all of her savings to fund their life. She couldn’t ask him about his salaries from his jobs because he would fly into a rage. When they got into a conversation, she learnt that he had sold off the property they bought together in Vienna last year without informing her. He kept telling her that there’s no money and they got into a fight.”

The lawyer also revealed that Peter has not been working for several years and is dependent on Celina’s savings and rental income from her properties. After he lost his job in Singapore, the family shifted back to Dubai. However, he later gave up his job and shifted to a small village in Austria, keeping Celina isolated.

On top of all this, Peter had kept Celina’s passport and other documents with him. However, she found the passport with a neighbour's help and ran away to India. Elaborating on the same, Celina’s lawyer said:

“Peter kept all of her documentation and passport with him. One day, while looking for a quiet place to speak to her lawyer, Celina found the place where he had hidden the documents. Thereafter, with the help of a neighbour, she rushed back to India and moved the courts here for justice.”
