Celina Jaitly Is Fighting For Kids' Custody, 'Peter Had Cut Off Contact Between Her And Children'

Celina Jaitley is in the middle of a battle with her husband, whom she married in 2011. The estranged couple are the parents of three children: Winston, Viraaj, and Arthur. She recently filed a complaint against Peter, seeking Rs. 50 crore compensation for loss of earnings due to alleged abuse.

Celina Jaitly’s husband, Peter Haag, had cut off her contact with her kids

Speaking to News18, Celina’s lawyer, Niharika Karanjawala revealed that the actress is worried about the custody of her children and is doing everything in her capacity for it. The lawyer revealed that her husband, Peter, had cut off her contact with her kids for some time. In her words:

“She’s fighting it out in the case going on in the Austrian court. Her children are her foremost concern. We’ve asked for the custody of her children and access to them in the domestic cas,e too. Fortunately, two days back, the Austrian court, in the divorce proceedings, has allowed her access to them for one hour a day, telephonically. She’s able to communicate with them daily. Prior to this, Peter had cut off contact for a while between her and the children.”

Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag’s marriage has been abusive from the beginning. As per the petition filed by Celina, the actress faced racist comments from her husband, as he even referred to her as a ‘maidservant’. The plea also mentions a shocking episode faced by Celina soon after giving birth to her twins.

The actress in her plea stated that post her delivery, she struggled hard through her postpartum phase. When Celina asked Peter whether he could extend his paternity leave, he got agitated and, in a fit of rage, grabbed her wrist and threw her out of the house. Her stitches had hardly healed, and she was even struggling to walk when the incident happened. However, a neighbour came to her rescue.

Celina Jaitly fled from Austria, leaving her kids behind

It was on November 25, 2025, when reports of Celina filing a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag, emerged in the media. Soon, the actress announced her divorce on social media. As per multiple reports, Celina has been subjected to extreme physical, verbal, and financial abuse. She was reportedly forced to flee from their Austrian home in the middle of the night and returned to India on October 11, 2025, leaving behind her three children.
