It was only last month, in October 2025, when Celina approached a Delhi court seeking intervention regarding her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitly. She alleged that he had been "illegally abducted and detained" in the United Arab Emirates, where he has lived since 2016. According to reports, Celina's brother was associated with the MATITI Group, a firm engaged in consultancy, trading, and risk management services.

Celina Jaitly, in her plea, alleged that the Ministry of External Affairs had failed to provide even basic information about her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitly's condition, legal status, or well-being since his reported detention in September 2024. The actress subsequently approached the Delhi court, which directed authorities to ensure that the family could contact him and facilitate communication with both Celina and Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitly's wife.
