Celina Jaitley Discovered Husband's Cheating Shortly After Childbirth, 'He Portrayed To Be Single'

Indian actress, Celina Jaitley's personal life is currently under intense public scrutiny following her explosive remarks regarding her husband, Peter Haag. She recently filed a case in a Mumbai court against her Austrian entrepreneur husband, under the Domestic Violence Act. Celina's claims included emotional, physical, verbal, and financial abuse throughout their marriage. She is currently embroiled in the custody fight of their three children. Amid that, her lawyers hinted at a cheating angle, citing Peter Haag's live-in relationship while he wooed Celina. The revelation added a new layer to the already complicated case.

Celina Jaitley found out about her husband's live-in relationship after the birth of her first set of twins

After a year of marriage, Celina Jaitley gave birth to her first set of twin sons, Winston Haag and Viraaj Haag, on March 24, 2012. The new mother was over the moon as she pictured a perfect family with her husband, Peter Haag, and their two children. However, shortly after childbirth, she faced a shocking truth about Peter. According to a revelation by Celina Jaitly's lawyer, Niharika Karanjawala, the actress' estranged husband was in a live-in relationship with another woman while dating Celina Jaitly. According to the lawyer, Peter presented himself as single at the time, even though he clearly was deeply involved with an unnamed individual.

Celina Jaitley's lawyers stated that Celina's sister informed her about Peter Haag's alleged lies about his relationship status during their dating period. However, Niharika Karanjawala wasn't aware of any further details about how Celina handled the information. If Niharika's statements were true, then Peter definitely cheated on Celina while they were dating; however, the post-marriage infidelity angle remains subject to debate. Niharika couldn't confirm whether Peter continued his live-in relationship with the unnamed woman even after his marriage to Celina. Notably, Celina's husband also did not comment on the same. The lawyer's exact words were:

"While there's no infidelity that she knows of during the marriage, she did hear from his sister shortly after the first set of twins were born. She heard that though he had portrayed himself to be single at the time they were dating, he was actually in a live-in relationship with another lady."

Celina's lawyer alleged that Peter was abusive towards his wife right from the beginning of their spousal life. Amid all the physical and mental turmoil stemming from her abusive, Celina suffered several other setbacks in 2017, which her lawyer recounted. Celina gave birth to a second set of twin boys in September 2017, named Arthur and Shamsher. Sadly, Shamsher succumbed to a severe congenital heart condition shortly after birth. In the same year, her father, Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly, also passed away, and a few months later, in 2018, Celina's mother also succumbed to cancer. Her lawyer shared:

"The marriage has been abusive from the beginning. But since 2017, especially, three things happened that drove Celina into a rather deep depression."

Celina's husband allegedly stripped her of financial independence

In her recent domestic abuse case plea, Celina claimed Peter prohibited her from working in the film industry on various pretexts after their marriage in 2011. The plea alleged that Peter systematically took control of her professional and financial life and blocked her access to her own funds and documents, making her financially dependent on him. During a vulnerable period after losing a newborn child and her parents, she claims Peter pressured her into transferring ownership of her Mumbai residence to him. Selena's lawyer mentioned:

"He made her give him all her credit and debit cards so that he was in charge financially. He was using all of her savings to fund their life. She couldn't ask him about his salaries from his jobs because he would fly into a rage. When they got into a conversation, she learnt that he had sold off the property they bought together in Vienna last year without informing her. He kept telling her that there's no money, and they got into a fight."

Amid the physical abuse and financial troubles Celina Jaitley's husband allegedly caused her, the actress' biggest concern remains her three children. She filed the domestic abuse case primarily to seek custody of the kids, who are currently with Peter in Austria.
