Celeste Rivas And D4vd Case, Officer Debunks Rumours, Body Wasn't Frozen And More Details

D4vd, the budding singer of Romantic Homicide fame, has become embroiled in the investigation of an actual homicide case involving the death of a 14-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas Hernandez. With official investigations, private searches, and speculations of online sleuths going on all together on the case, a lot of different information has emerged regarding the death of the teen. However, not all of them are true. An LAPD officer recently debunked all the rumours surrounding the death of Celeste Rivas' case.

Officer refutes claims that Celeste Rivas' body was frozen or decapitated

Many local outlets had reported that Celeste's body was not only extremely decomposed, but it was also decapitated when police discovered the deceased in the trunk of the Tesla registered under D4vd's name. Certain body parts were also frozen, and in the process of thawing, stated reports. Los Angeles Police Dept. Captain and the commanding officer of the homicide division, Scott Williams, officially refuted these claims in a statement to People. He shared:

“Celeste's body was not frozen. She was not decapitated. The whole frozen thing doesn't even make sense. Her body was in the car for weeks. Even if she had been frozen solid when she was put in the car, five or more weeks in the trunk of a car in sweltering heat in the middle of summer would not have resulted in a partially frozen body being discovered on September 8th.”

For the unversed, the latest updates on Celeste Rivas' death case stated that her remains might have been refrigerated before being put in a plastic bag and shifted to the Tesla's trunk. Initial reports had also suggested that although the teen's body was found on September 8, 2025, she had likely been dead for weeks, given that the remains were extremely decomposed. TMZ had reported that the body was dismembered as well; however, there is no official confirmation on whether the remains were tampered with after the death.

D4vd is an official suspect in the death of Celeste Rivas

Although her body was found in D4vd's car, the singer wasn't blamed initially for the death of Celeste. Since the Tesla had sat abandoned in a parking lot for days, many had believed that it was stolen by the actual killer. However, as more connections emerged between the two after investigations, D4vd is being seen as someone who had a more direct role in Celeste's death. Additionally, Celeste Rivas' death has been ruled a homicide. However, medical examiners have found it difficult to pinpoint the cause of death due to the state the body was found in.

Despite the suspicion, D4vd's name has not been filed on any paperwork as a suspect. A source also revealed to TMZ that the LAPD was nowhere close to making an arrest relating to the death of Celeste Rivas. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the singer has not been cooperating with officials.
