#1. Madonna settled her divorce for 76-92 million USD to Guy Ritchie

Queen of Pop, Madonna, married Guy Ritchie in 2000 and ended the marriage in 2008. Her divorce was a topic of huge discussion because of the huge alimony that was involved. She paid Guy Ritchie a large sum for spousal support and it is still one of the largest divorce settlements ever. As per reports, Madonna paid Guy a whopping sum ranging from 76 million USD to 92 million USD.

#2. Britney Spears paid 20,000 USD per month in child support to Kevin Federline

Pop sensation, Britney Spears married American actor and singer, Kevin Federline in 2004 and the duo parted ways in 2007. However, in her prenuptial agreement, Britney had mentioned that she would get custody of her kids if she splits from Kevin. But Britney lost custody after a stint in rehab and other odd behaviour.

As a part of the divorce settlement, Britney was ordered by the court to pay Kevin 20,000 USD per month for the welfare of their sons, Sean and Jayden. Not just this, Kevin also reportedly received 1 million USD as part of the settlement.

#3. Janet Jackson ended up paying 15 million USD to Rene Elizondo

American singer, actress and dancer, Janet Jackson married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991, but the marriage was kept a secret. It was only made public when Elizondo filed for a divorce in 2000 and filed a lawsuit for 25 million USD. Although they had a prenuptial agreement, Elizondo claimed that he signed it under pressure. After two years of legal battle, the divorce was finalised in 2003, and she paid Elizondo 15 million USD as part of the settlement.

#4. Roseanne Barr paid a whopping sum of 50 million USD to Tom Arnold

American actress and comedian, Roseanne Barr married fellow comedian, Tom Arnold in 1990 within four days of her divorce. In 1994, Roseanne filed for divorce from Tom, citing irreconcilable differences. Since the duo never signed any prenuptial agreement, Roseanne paid Tom a whopping sum of 50 million USD in spousal support.

#5. Kirstie Alley settled her divorce with Parker Stevenson for 6 million USD

American actress, Kirstie Alley married actor, Parker Stevenson in 1983, and after 13 years, the couple ended their marriage in 1997. While details about the alimony are not public, the proceedings were quick. Parker demanded USD 18000 per month to pay the rent of his home. However, Kirstie settled the matter by agreeing to a one-time payment of 6 million dollars.

In 1996, the duo parted ways, and she paid 1 million USD as part of spousal support. Despite their split, Elizabeth and Larry stayed in touch, and she left 8,25,000 USD in her will.

Actress, Halle Berry’s divorces have been highly publicised as they made a lot of drama. In 2005, Halle Berry began dating model, Gabriel Aubry, with whom she gave birth to their daughter, Nahla, in 2008. In 2010, Halle announced her separation from Gabriel and the ex-couple involved in a legal battle for the custody of their daughter. The custody went to Gabriel, and Halle ended up paying 16000 USD a month in child support.

#8. Halle Berry agreed to pay 8000 USD per month to Olivier Martinez

 Halle Berry married Olivier Martinez in 2013, and within two years, the couple parted ways. The ex-couple shares joint custody of their son, Maceo and Halle agreed to pay 8000 USD per month for her son’s welfare. Additionally, she agreed to pay 4.3 percent of her income, exceeding 2 million USD.

#9. Toni Braxton paid 30,000 USD per month to Keri Lewis

When American singer and songwriter Toni Braxton divorced Keri Lewis in 2013, not many details about the alimony were known. However, as per multiple reports, Keri demanded 1,30,000 USD per month as a part of the divorce settlement. However, Toni didn’t agree with quoting financial constraints as a reason. The divorce was settled with an alimony of 30,000 USD per month.

#10. Mary J Blige paid 30,000 USD to ex-husband Kendu Isaacs

Singer and rapper, Mary J Blige married her manager, Martin "Kendu" Isaacs, in 2003. In 2016, Mary filed for a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalised in 2018, with Mary having to pay him 30,000 USD per month in alimony. Although, he asked for 1,29 319 USD per month to maintain his lifestyle and legal fees. However, she didn’t agree, citing financial constraints.
