Candice King Reveals She Struggled To Find A Wedding Dress Due To Her Pregnancy With Steven Krueger

There is some good news for The Vampire Diaries fans! Candice King and Steven Krueger, who are known for their appearance in the series and its spinoff, The Originals are officially married. For the unversed, the two tied the knot in February 2026; however, the official photos from the same were shared a while ago by Vogue. Amid that, the actress recently opened up about the struggles of finding an appropriate wedding dress as she is pregnant.

The first official photos of Candice King and Steven Krueger’s wedding photos are out and they are all cutesy. Reportedly, the much-in-love couple tied the knot in The Chapel at High Point Farm near Nashville. Coming to their outfits, the mom-to-be opted for an ivory wedding dress that would fit her baby bump perfectly. On the other hand, her now-husband, Steven Krueger, wore a classic black formal suit.

The cutesy photos also featured Candice's two daughters, Florence and Josephine, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Joe King. The little angels looked absolutely happy celebrating their mother's wedding. It is worth noting that the photos shared by Vogue also included some family moments between the four of them, which looked nothing less than a fairytale.

Candice King struggled to find her perfect wedding dress as she was pregnant

Recently, during a candid interview, actress, Candice King opened up about the struggles of finding the perfect wedding gown. For the unversed, the actress is expecting her first child with Steven and she explained that the market of wedding dresses that fit a baby bump is very small. However, she ended by wearing a crepe gown by Grace Loves Lace. She was quoted as saying:

"Shockingly, there’s not a huge market for wedding dresses that fit over a baby bump. I was quite nervous to find a dress that would make me feel bridal and maternal- and not like the ‘Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’ from Ghostbusters bouncing down the aisle."

Candice King and Steven Krueger preponed their wedding due to the pregnancy

Candice King and Steven Krueger are officially married; however, do you know that the couple preponed their wedding due to their pregnancy. Well, for the unversed, in December 2025, the couple revealed that they were expecting their first child. Now, in an interview with Vogue, the couple shared that they initially planned to marry in Fall 2026, but later decided to tie the knot with only 15 people around. In her words:

"We decided to have a small elopement-style weekend in Nashville with just our immediate families, and save the bigger celebration for sometime next year. The cherry on top was one of our mutual best friends, Carina MacKenzie, flying in to officiate for us! We had 15 people in total, including Candice’s daughters and my two nieces. And it was perfect."

Candice King and Steven Krueger’s baby is due to arrive in May 2026

Talking about Candice King and Steven Krueger’s baby, the actress once told People Magazine that their due date is May 2026, somewhere around her birthday. Further, she also spoke about her daughters’ reaction on knowing the reason behind her eating. The Vampire Diaries fame shared:

"We've known the news for a while now, and it's been such a joyful experience getting to surprise and share our happy news with friends and family. I think my daughters were relieved to understand why Mommy was suddenly belching constantly and eating unusual amounts at weird times. We're due in May, close to my birthday, which would be the best gift ever! I can't wait to grow our beautiful blended family."
