BTS's Jin Donates A 100 Million KRW To Charity Ahead Of Birthday, Fans Call Him 'DONATION FAIRY'

BTS's member, Jin, has proved once again why he is one of the most loved third-generation K-pop idols, both nationally and globally. At the beginning of this month, on December 1, 2025, Jin reportedly donated a staggering 100 million KRW (approx. 68,222 USD) to the Namwang Social Welfare Centre in Busan. Why did Jin make this sudden donation to the Namwang Social Welfare Centre? 

BTS's Jin has been active in the K-pop scene for over a decade now, having debuted with the rest of the members, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, in June 2013. Currently, he is one of the most successful third-gen artists with an estimated net worth of over 20 million USD. He is not only an amazing singer, but is also a philanthropist at heart. Many fans might know that Jin's birthday is today, December 4, 2025. Before ringing in his 33rd birthday, however, Jin made a generous contribution to the Namwang Social Welfare Centre in Busan to support vulnerable groups in the local community.  

The organisation is a perfect choice for Jin's donation as it has an 80-year history rooted in child welfare. Confirming Jin's donation on December 3, 2025, the centre stated that the funds will be prioritised for child and youth welfare initiatives. In the words of the centre's CEO, Park Do Young: 

"Jin's donation will be a gift that brings dreams to children and adolescents in the community and hope to underprivileged neighbours." 

Jin's donation is meaningful not only because he made it before turning 33 today, but also because it came at a time when the Namwang Social Welfare Centre is celebrating its 80th anniversary, having been established in 1945. It has been revealed that a notable portion of Jin's donation will support a "Self-Reliant Youth Support Program". This program is intended for those ageing out of childcare institutions, ensuring they have the resources they need when transitioning to independent living. A representative of the centre further expressed how grateful they are for the donation by saying: 

“We deeply appreciate Jin’s meaningful contribution to our social welfare projects on the organisation’s 80th anniversary. This support will greatly empower children and adolescents in Busan to pursue their dreams and build a foundation for independence, while planting seeds of hope for isolated neighbours.”
