Recently, Yerin Ha and her co-star, Luke Thompson, appeared on the show, Capital Breakfast. During the conversation, Yerin recalled an intimate scene from her newly released series, Bridgerton Season 4 and revealed how a small mistake made her suffer. Yerin shared that there was a s*x scene, for which she and Luke had to stay inside a bathtub for more than seven hours. During that particular scene, she was told to apply baby powder all over her body. However, things turned out worse as she got hives all over her body. Yerin added that, as she got folliculitis, she needed steroid cream. She was quoted as saying:

"There’s a scene where we are in a bathtub and basically I put baby powder all on me because I was told it would help dry my skin to put the intimacy wear on with my tape. And then basically the next day after the bathtub, I got hives all over my body and got folliculitis and needed steroid cream! But I blame myself, because I think it was a combination of baby powder and the bath water."

In a recent interview with People, Yerin opened up about getting sick just before she had a shooting of a staircase hookup scene with her co-star, Luke. The actress shared that as she got the flu, the makers had to reschedule the shoot. Yerin mentioned that in the romance series, the steamy, intimate scenes were not included to seek attention, but had a meaningful purpose behind them. In her words:

"That scene was supposed to be shot a while back, but then I got the flu, so we had to reschedule it. But you know what? It's funny, because those Bridgerton steamy, s*x scenes — or whatever you want to call them — they don't feel like they're there just for the sake of it. They're actually an extension of the storytelling, and it is quite poetic and they're there for an actual purpose. I do think Bridgerton does the s*x scene so well ... from a female gaze."

Yerin Ha shares that she was very scared of doing intimate scenes in Bridgerton Season 4

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Yerin Ha was asked whether she was scared of the n**ity scenes. In response, Yerin said that she was very afraid to do the intimate scenes. She explained the reason behind the fear. Yerin added that she had done the role as she wanted to challenge herself. She was quoted as saying:

"Yeah, I was very scared of the n**ity scenes. When I booked the role, I was so happy. And then very quickly, I was like, 'Crap. I have to do intimacy scenes now.' That was my first thought. Especially growing up in an Asian household, I feel like body image is something that’s very talked about, like, 'Oh wow, you gained a bit of weight.' That kind of commentary when you are so young really affects your confidence—I know it affects mine. I think there was a part of me that wanted to challenge myself."
