The 1997 film, Border, was a cult classic, which would often get telecast on Zee TV or Star Plus on every Independence Day or Republic Day. The epic war film, which was directed by J. P. Dutta. It is the story of the Battle of Longewala between India and Pakistan in 1971. The film featured strong performances from an ensemble cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Sunny Deol, Tabu, Pooja Bhatt, Rakhe Gulzar, and many more. The film is a tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers and the sacrifices they made for the country.

Talking about the fees, Sunny Deol was the one who played the lead role in director, J.P. Dutta's 1997 film. He was paid a whopping Rs. 1.2 crore. Jackie Shroff's role was also loved in the film, and he was paid Rs. 11 lakh. Talking about Tabu, she was paid Rs. 20 lakh for her role. It was Akshaye Khanna's second film, and he was highly praised for his role. He received a fee of Rs. 1.4 million.

Pooja Bhatt was paid Rs. 1 lakh, while Suneil Shetty received Rs. 6 lakh. Puneet Issar got Rs. 10 lakh, and Sudesh Berry was paid a fee of Rs. 4 lakh. Kulbhushan Kharbanda also received a cheque of Rs. 6 lakh. On the other hand, Rakhi Gulzar was paid Rs. 70,000.

The songs such as Sandese Aate Hai and Mere Dushman Mere Bhai are the most beautiful chartbusters that still seem emotional and leave everyone nostalgic. These songs still invoke patriotism and pride in listeners. Iswar R. Bidri and Nirmal Jani are the cinematographers who beautifully shot the film, and it was edited by Deepak Wirkudi. The movie showed the harsh beauty of the Rajasthan desert and showed the pain of war with equal skill on the big screen.
