Marriages in the glamour world go through a lot of ups and downs. There have been many instances when a celeb was caught cheating on their spouse or accused of infidelity. However, a celeb’s personal life has always garnered a lot of attention. However, there are some actresses who have faced one of the biggest losses when they lost their husbands.
Even after attaining a lot of success on the professional front, there are some actresses, who have been through the biggest tragedy of losing their better halves. However, it did not deter their spirits, and even after being a widow at a tender age, these actresses kept a brave front and faced the world. Let us take a look at the actresses, who showed us that life doesn’t stop for anyone.

Bollywood diva, Rekha’s name has been linked with a lot of actors. However, the gorgeousness had got married to a Delhi-based businessman, Mukesh Aggarwal in April 1990. After the initial phase of their wedding, the duo started having troubles in their marriage. Rekha had always boasted about her marital status, but the reality was completely different.
Failing business and marriage made Mukesh depressed, and he and Rekha agreed to a mutual divorce. In October 1990, Mukesh committed suicide using Rekha’s dupatta. Their marriage had only lasted six months, and Rekha was just 36 years old at that time. After Mukesh’s death, there were rumours of Rekha’s secret wedding to actor, Vinod Mehra, and he also died of a heart attack. Despite turning into a widow at a young age, Rekha continued to inspire many with her professional achievements.

Former actress Kaykasshan Patel was married to the head honcho of Patel Integrated Logistics Ltd in 2000 after dating him for five years. The couple embraced parenthood with two adorable children Numaire Patel and Arhaan Patel. In July 2019, Areef Patel passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest at the age of 47. After Areef’s untimely demise, Kaykasshan has been taking care of her boys single-handedly.

Vijayta Pandit is one of the most loved actresses of the 80s. She made everyone’s heart flutter after her debut in the film, Love Story in 1981, opposite the handsome Kumar Gaurav. In 1986, Vijayta starred in the film, Car Thief and got married to director, Sameer Malkan. However, the relationship didn’t work out, and the couple got divorced.
After her separation from Sameer Malkan, Vijayta Pandit got married to music composer, Aadesh Shrivastava in 1990 and welcomed their kids, Anivesh and Avitesh. In 2010, Aadesh was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma and bid adieu to the world in 2015. Vijayta was just 48 years old at the time of her husband’s death. After Aadesh Shrivastava’s death, Vijayta faced a lot of financial problems. She managed to raise her kids single-handedly with the royalty of her late husband’s musical work.
Leena Chadavarkar was counted as one of the most successful and versatile actresses of the 70s. At the age of 25, the beautiful actress quit acting and got married to industrialist, Siddharth Bandodkar. After 11 days of their wedding, Siddharth shot himself with a revolver and died, leaving Leena a widow at the age of 25. Leena did not return to acting and found solace in the arms of actor cum singer, Kishore Kumar.

Leena became Kishore Kumar’s fourth wife despite an age gap of 20 years between them. The couple later welcomed a son named Sumeet Ganguly. Unfortunately, after seven and a half years of marriage, Kishore Kumar passed away in 1987, leaving Leena a widow once again at the age of 37. She is currently living with her son, Sumeet, stepson, Amit Kumar and his wife.
Actress Shantipriya, who starred opposite Akshay Kumar in the film, Saugandh got married to actor, Siddharth Ray in 1999. The couple welcomed two sons, and in 2004, Siddharth breathed his last after suffering cardiac arrest. Shantipriya was 35 when she was left a widow. However, the actress faced the trauma with a brave front. She later appeared in some television shows.
Mandira Bedi is one of the most prominent faces of the glamour world. Best known for the titular role in the 1994 television show, Shanti, Mandira had also starred in numerous Bollywood films. The actress cum fitness enthusiast got married to filmmaker, Raj Kaushal in 1999. 12 years later, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Vir Kaushal, and nine years after his birth, they adopted a baby girl, Tara Bedi Kaushal, in 2020.
Mandira got the biggest shock of her life in 2021 when her husband, Raj passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on June 30, 2021. Mandira was shaken to the core after Raj’s death and was inconsolable. But despite the sudden turmoil, she had shown courage and had performed her late husband’s last rites. Mandira, who was 49, when Raj passed away is raising her kids single-handedly.
It is a very difficult phase for a woman to lead a normal life after her partner bids adieu to the world. However, these actresses kept a brave front and let the show go on. Gathering the pieces of their broken heart, they faced the world and still managed to smile, wiping away their tears.
