Bobby Deol is one of the most talented actors of his generation in Bollywood. The actor has delivered some glorious hits to the box-office over the decades, and it was only recently that he made his power-packed comeback in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Animal. Being the third generation of actor in his family, Bobby has always made it his strive to keep the legacy of his father, Dharmendra and brother, Sunny Deol alive. And now, the actor spills beans on the future possibility of his sons, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol taking the torchlight forward.
Bobby Deol and his wife, Tanya Deol are blessed with two boys, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol. In many previous interviews of his, the actor has fondly mentioned that both his sons wish to take the Deol legacy forward and be associated with the film industry. And now, in another interview with Film Companion, the actor reveals how he has clearly told both his sons to master Hindi well before taking their steps in Bollywood. Elaborating more, he said:
“That’s the most important thing for an actor. I meet young kids and I keep telling them that you’ve to really be prepared. Like my sons, they want to be actors, and I keep telling them ki first apni Hindi theek karo. Hindi theek se nahi bolte kyuki aadat nahi hai na. Sab angrezi bolte hain ek doosre se. I think, once you have command over your lines, you don’t have to think anything. You just have to feel the character.”

In an earlier interaction with Sidharth Kannan, Bobby Deol talked about his firstborn, Aryaman Deol. He shared that he is very protective of his son and doesn’t want the latter to imbibe qualities of his that had ended up making him quite vulnerable and weak at times. Bobby said:
“I am the youngest (in the family). I have never been able to face the world in my life easily. It has always been difficult because I am too emotional. So, I don’t want him to be that way. I just want him to be strong. That’s why he went away to New York so that he becomes a strong person.”
In yet a previous interview with India Today, Bobby Deol was asked whether like his elder brother, Sunny Deol’s sons, Karan and Rajveer, his sons, Aryaman and Dharam would also venture into Bollywood as actors. In his response, Bobby proudly asserted that he considers showbiz as the greatest business and his sons would also venture into it. However, he emphasised that it wouldn’t happen so soon as they are quite young at the moment.

In the same interview, Bobby Deol picked out on the qualities of both his sons, Aryaman and Dharam. The doting daddy mentioned that while Aryaman is keen on becoming an actor, Dharam, on the other hand wishes to go ahead with filmmaking. Heaping praises on his son’s capabilities of disintegrating the minute technicalities of a scene, Bobby said:
“Both my boys have different qualities. My youngest son during Covid himself filmmaking on his own. The photographs that you see on my Instagram, most of them, are by him. He loves everything about filmmaking, from editing to background, visuals, all things. When we are watching a movie, he will talk about the technical side, and I'm like, 'OK', I don't know any of that. So this is how it is. Every child is especially special, so let's see what the future holds for them. I mean, I can't predict anything. I just want them to be happy and successful."
