Blake Lively Is Threatening Taylor Swift With 'Private Texts' Into Supporting Her, Claims Justin

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively seem to have gone from being best friends to strained, stranded pals, according to Justin Baldoni. The filmmaker and actor is currently in a legal war with A Simple Favour actress, claiming that Blake is threatening the I Can Do It With A Broken Heart singer with their private texts if she doesn't extend her public support to her in the It Ends With Us legal storm. So what happened between the two besties that left things 'not too well' between them?

Taylor Swift is being threatened by Blake Lively?

According to Justin Baldoni's legal team, Taylor Swift is being threatened by the Gossip Girl actress, Blake Lively. All of this started when the So High School singer was subpoenaed by the US court for the case. However, Taylor's team is fighting the decision, maintaining that the Cruel Summer star has nothing to do with the ongoing battle between Blake and Justin. Blake's lawyers, on the other hand, have slammed the new filing as 'categorically false'.

A court document was obtained by Page Six, which revealed that Blake Lively's attorney, Michael Gottlieb of Willkie Farr, had reached out to Taylor Swift's law firm, Venable and demanded that she release a statement of support for the actress. Furthermore, the report claimed that the law firm had intimidated that if Taylor refused to do so, private texts between her and Blake would be in play to be released.

However, Michael has called these filings and responses on behalf of Blake and her team and claimed Justin's legal team is trying to cause trouble and hurt people without any factual evidence. The back-and-forth comes days after both Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, called out Justin Baldoni over Taylor's subpoena, even comparing the move to the Barnum and Bailey Circus. Blake's team stated:

"We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality."

How did Taylor Swift get involved in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal drama?

Justin Baldoni and his Wayfare Studio claim that they have received the information from an extremely reliable but anonymous source. According to his legal team, Taylor Swift's lawyers responded to the intimidating letter by Blake Lively's legal team and calling it 'inappropriate' and 'extortionate'. While Justin's team wants to access these conversations. While what is in the texts is still not known. Blake's lawyer has responded to Justin's claims and stated:

"This is what we have come to expect from the Wayfarer parties’ lawyers, who appear to love nothing more than shooting first, without any evidence, and with no care for the people they are harming in the process."

However, one must wonder how Taylor got involved in the blunder. Well, according to her team, the singer has maintained her stance and denied any involvement in the movie or any part of this drama. She had only given permission to use her song, My Tears Ricochet, in the film. Taylor's legal team has even pointed out the singer was busy with her Eras World Tour when the movie was being made and stated:

"Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film."
