Netflix's Selling Sunset Season 9 has been grabbing headlines since its release on Netflix on October 29, 2025. While everyone was waiting to know what new luxury listings and office drama the new season had to offer, the real spotlight was unexpectedly stolen by real estate agent and entrepreneur, Emma Hernan's boyfriend, Blake Davis. The 28-year-old Florida native, who entered the show as Emma's love interest, has quickly become one of the most talked-about faces this year, thanks to his luxurious lifestyle, eccentric habits, and explosive conflicts with other cast members.

How rich is Blake Davis?

According to The Cinemaholic, Blake Davis' estimated net worth is around USD 5 billion, which puts him in the 'very, very rich' category. Although Selling Sunset's viewers might have already become familiar with the viral phrase, thanks to his co-star, Chelsea Lazkani's quip on the show. He comes from a family with deep roots in real estate and a history of generational wealth. Reports suggest that he operates Blake Davis Properties, specialising in multi-family real estate development and investment in the US. According to Blake's official website, he is an entrepreneur whose ventures include:

"Acquiring raw land, hard money lending, and strategic joint ventures". 

Moreover, his social media presence showcases that Blake is not shy about flaunting his lifestyle, featuring photos of yachts, luxury watches, and lavish holiday pictures that fill his Instagram feed. Blake's biography on his company's website lists his passion for art, historical documents and timepieces. It claims that he owns more than 1,000 watches from 50 different luxury brands. At the same time, he spends his free time on a 130-foot yacht named Trust Fun or at one of his private estates. Previously, Emma noted that Blake's father was involved in inventing microwave popcorn, although there is no verification of this claim.

How did Blake Davis and Emma Hernan's relationship start? 

Emma Hernan first introduced Blake Davis as a client on the show. However, she confirmed that they had dated on and off. Before the premiere of Selling Sunset Season 9, Emma told US Weekly that the show's producers approached her and shared that they wanted to know whom she was dating and her love life. In turn, she shared her account of what happened, which differed from what was shown on the show. On the show, Emma described Blake as 'fun', 'family-oriented' and someone who she used to keep going back to. Although his bizarre claims that he never ate fruits or vegetables left everyone in shock. In Emma's words:

"He is…a real estate heir, you could say. His dad was also part of inventing microwave popcorn, but his real estate is what made the real money." 

Why did Blake Davis have a conflict with Chrishell Stause?

Despite Blake Davis' display of wealth, not everyone was impressed by him. Emma's fellow Selling Sunset star, Chrishell Stause, had a conflict with Blake early on. She called him a 'controlling' and 'obsessive' person. The situation became serious when Chrishell alleged on Instagram that he made offensive comments on her and called her a 'MAGA boyfriend' with racial slurs. In turn, Blake denied those allegations on the Daily Mail and added that he had met Chrishell only a couple of times and they had no discussion on politics. According to Cosmopolitan, he even asked his fans on Instagram if he should sue Chrishell for defamation.
