A 29-year-old, Deepak Kumar, who is a railway technician, his death left his family in shock and raised a lot of speculations when his 27-year-old wife, Shivani, claimed that he had a heart attack during a puja at home. However, his family, who wasn't convinced by their daughter-in-law's statement, expressed the wish for an autopsy, which revealed the truth.
The grieving family didn't once think that their daughter-in-law could kill her husband, who had a heart attack. However, since Deepak had a government job in railways, they decided to get his autopsy done. On April 4, 2025, Deepak died, and his wife called it to be a heart attack as he collapsed and died during their puja. However, on April 6, 2025, the truth came out as the autopsy report claimed that he died due to strangulation.
Deepak's death which was being claimed as a tragedy, is now investigated as a murder. Soon, police arrested Deepak's 27-year-old wife, Shivani, who allegedly killed him with the help of an unidentified accomplice. According to Deepak's family, the wife wanted to qualify for a government job under the deceased dependent quota and to inherit all his property.
According to murmurs, Shivani was inspired by Meerut woman, Muskan, who killed her ex-navy husband, Saurabh. Shivani strangled her husband, Deepak, to death while he was sleeping in their rented house. Shivani told his family that he died of a heart attack. But the postmortem report revealed her gruesome killing.
Deepak hails from Bijnor's Mukrandpur village and has been living with his wife in a rented apartment in Adarsh Colony, Najibabad. He married Shivani, who was living in Chauharpur Nahtaur, on June 17, 2023. The couple had a love marriage, and they even had a six-month-old son.
