'BB 19': Netizens Slam Amaal Mallik's Father, Daboo After, Singer Called Him A Failure, 'Thrown You'

Salman Khan hosted, Bigg Boss 19 has once again sparked conversations. This was because singer, Amaal Mallik's recent comment about his dad, Daboo Mallik, was not well received by netizens. The reason being on the national television, Amaal addressed Daboo as a 'failure' when a heated spat on the topic of nepotism took place with contestant, Gaurav Khanna. The remark did not sit well with the fans of Bigg Boss 19 and now netizens have taken on social media to even school Daboo related to the same.

It all started when Amaal Mallik, in the Bigg Boss 19 house, told Malti Chahar that his dad never got Anu Malik's support. Amaal called himself a product of 'reverse nepotism' and shared of having no shame in calling his dad a failure. Now, Daboo seemed visibly hurt with the comment made by his son. He made a sharp and yet silent tweet on X that read:

"Some people carry battles no one sees. Just being there, even on the hardest days, is a kind of courage most people never talk about. Picture abhi baaki hai … kaun jeeta kaun haara … meri kahani ab shuru hoti hai."

Netizens make Daboo Mallik realise that Amaal Mallik is calling him a failure

One user, seeing the tweet of Daboo Mallik, commented, "Aapka beta ji aapko failure bolta hai... Yehi aapka achievement hai." Daboo's parenting style was questioned as a user calling him a failure noted, "You definitely failed as a parent. There is not a single crime related to abuse that your son hasn’t committed inside that Bigg Boss house. I’m sure he grew up watching you abuse your family or you seeing abused by your family. Still, as a parent, you should have given better values to your child. Abusing on social media is different from abusing on national television when entire India is watching."

Complaining about Amaal Mallik, users told his dad, Daboo, "Sorry to say, but Amaal is a total trash and a filthy person with zero gratitude." An angry user also commented, "Who asked his story? We all have our own struggles. He is forcefully catching contestants and trying to play the sympathy game. Dogla Amaal. Now, father and his brother have come to take sympathy and support for that arrogant, foul-mouthed son."

When Amaal highlighted that his dad had failed in the entertainment industry, the audience was divided. There was a section of the audience who felt that Amaal was somehow trying to address a wider point, while there were others who felt that he could have avoided getting his father into the conversation. It was in March 2025 when music composer Amaal Mallik took to his social media feed to announce to the world that he had depression. In his long note, he blamed his parents, Daboo and Jyoti Malik, for creating a gap between him and his brother, Armaan. Daboo had reacted to the post by sharing that it made Amaal feel lonely when the focus was on Armaan. Daboo, in a conversation with Faridoon Shahryar, revealed:

"Baat kisi aur ki thi ya kuch aur rishton ki thi. His love affair with his father can never come to an end. His obsession about his dad is unbelievable. If I have to say it in a single statement, while talking against someone, then you have to talk against the entire family, right?”
