'Bigg Boss 19', Salman Khan's Fee Revealed, 600 Times More Than Indian PM's Annual Salary?

Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 19 has stirred people's anticipation regarding the upcoming show. Recently, a teaser was released that showed Salman in a Nehru jacket talking about 'gharwalon ki sarkar'. This has increased the excitement among fans with hints of a political theme for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss. As the show is all set to premiere on August 24, 2025, here's how much Salman Khan is reportedly charging to host the show's Weekend ka Waar. 

Salman Khan's hefty fees for Bigg Boss 19 revealed 

Salman Khan is said to be charging a whopping Rs. 8 to Rs. 10 crores per weekend episode of Bigg Boss 19, as reported by Financial Express. This season of Bigg Boss will also be on a longer format, running for more than three months. Several sources say that Salman would be hosting only the first three months. Later, Farah Khan, Anil Kapoor and Karan Johar will take over as hosts, rumours suggest. So by this calculation, Salman is all set to take home Rs. 120 to Rs. 150 crore for three months. 

According to reports, Salman Khan is set to earn more in three months than the Indian Prime Minister does in a year. An NDTV report suggests that the Prime Minister's position in India gets a salary of Rs. 1.66 lakhs per month. Rounded off, the salary is somewhere around Rs. 20 lakh per year. Hence, Salman Khan will be earning approximately 600 times more than any Indian Prime Minister.

Following the continuous interference of Bigg Boss's voice in the previous two seasons, which had peeved viewers and foiled contestants' game plans, the upcoming season of the show will reportedly give more control to the contestants. As hinted by the teaser, this season's theme of Bigg Boss is going to be politics. The viewers might get to see a lot more diplomacy, sharp mind games and discussions as per reports. 

Bigg Boss 19 is going to air on Colors TV and stream on JioHotstar. The controversial reality TV show is going to premiere on August 24, 2025, in a digital-first format. 90 minutes later, the episodes will then be broadcast for the TV audience. As per reports, the show will be on air for five months and will have an array of hosts, rather than only Salman Khan. 

Potential contestants of Bigg Boss 19

As per a report by Bigg Boss Khabri, Apoorva Mukhija, Jannat Zubair and Mr. Faisu will be participating in Bigg Boss 19. TV actress Khushi Dubey has confirmed that she has been approached for Bigg Boss 19, with talks currently underway. Another popular TV actor who might be seen in the Bigg Boss house is Gaurav Khanna, known for his role as 'Anuj' in Anupamaa. Meanwhile, Dhanashree Verma's name is also doing the rounds as a possible contestant. Dheeraj Dhoopar, a well-known name in the TV industry, has reportedly been offered a spot on the latest season of Bigg Boss.
