Bhumi Pednekar is one of the most gorgeous actresses of her generation in Bollywood. The diva has garnered a lot of attention for her unique choice of films, bold looks and unapologetic personality. While she doesn’t belong from any privileged background, she made her way straight to the hearts of her fans right with her debut film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Fast forward to now, the diva is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Bhakshak.
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Bhumi Pednekar opened up about her career choices this far in the film industry. The diva, who is known for pulling off challenging roles with finesse, was asked if she chooses such a path for the fear of getting typecasted. In her reply, Bhumi boldly claimed that she feels that she is sort of irreplaceable, since most others cannot do the roles, she can do. In her words:
“Honestly I used to get worried about this and may be run away from it but now no. I feel like main jo karti hun vo koi aur nahin kar sakta. Honestly I used to get worried about this and may be run away from it but now no. I feel like main jo karti hun vo koi aur nahin kar sakta.”

Further into the conversation, Bhumi Pednekar retrospected about her films and navigated how each one of her films have been leagues apart from one another. While comparing her previous release, Thank You For Coming, which was a chick-flick, the actress highlighted that her upcoming film, Bhakshak is absolutely different. She further explained:
“I always try to balance it out like my release before this was a full glam yes feminist thing. I don’t think that’ll ever not be in my film, but that was an out-and-out glamorous popular film, right? It was like everywhere; it was that kind of film and that was my film that you know my character was the protagonist. Now I have a film that is ek dum doosre end of the spectrum a Bhakshak, and I am comfortable and very happy doing both. So, I think I get more films, I don’t think, I’ll be typecast.”
Previously, Bhumi Pednekar sat down for a tell-all interaction with Ranveer Allahabadia, wherein he made several unheard revelations about the inside secrets of the film industry. Talking about her own initial past, the actress claimed that initially, nobody used to charge even a penny from her to attend events. However, Bhumi added that now her primary styling for an event costs about Rs.15K to Rs. 20K. She finally revealed that the ancillary expenses boost up the overall cost for attending a Bollywood event to about Rs. 1 Lakh in total.

In one of her older interviews with Hauterrfly, Bhumi Pednekar revealed how at the age of 14, she faced a horrific incident, when she got touched inappropriately by a stranger in a crowded place. Adding how the episode continued to haunt her for the longest, the actress said:
“Somebody tried touching me inappropriately again and again, and I was getting paranoid. Though I was with my family, there also was a whole bunch of kids from my building as well. But I didn’t say anything at that time because I was thrown off by what had happened.”
