The film stars Dileep, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Sandy. Dhananjay Shankar’s directorial debut also features veteran actor, Mohanlal. The netizens have called the film, a pure entertainer with no logic. Now, that the film has become the talk of the town, let’s find out how much veteran actor, Mohanlal charged for the film.
Mohanlal is a prominent actor and has been entertaining the audience with his strong screen presence. During his more than four-decade career, Mohanlal has starred in more than 400 films. In the Malayalam action comedy, Bha Bha Ba, the veteran had a special cameo appearance. Although had a minimal screen time in the action comedy, fans were left in awe with his strong performance.

In fact, the audience considered the film a one-time watch and called Mohanlal’s performance a whistle-worthy cameo. Now, comes the biggest question: how much did Mohanlal charge for his role in the film? According to a report by Cinema Koott, Mohanlal didn’t charge a single penny for his cameo in Bha Bha Ba. Although this was not the first time that the veteran actor did this, his special gesture has caught our attention.

Earlier, this year, in May 2025, Kannappa writer, Vishnu Manchu, revealed in an interview with SCREEN that Malayalam superstar, Mohanlal didn’t charge a single penny for his cameo. The film, Kannappa also starred Prabhas in a cameo role alongside Mohanlal. Vishnu shared that Prabhas too didn’t charge anything. In the interview, Vishnu shared that both actors refused to take the payment each time, he offered them. Mohanlal used to chide him, while Prabhas jokingly threatened to kill him. He was quoted as saying:
"They would yell at me! Mohanlal said, 'You grew up around me, and now you’re offering me money?' Prabhas even threatened to kill me if I ever mentioned fees again."

Soon after the movie, Bha Bha Ba had hit the big screens, movie buffs took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles and shared their reviews on the film. An X user wrote, "Thank you, Dhananjay! #BhaBhaBa is pure theatre material! Loved the whole atmosphere. And the 2nd half and climax literally owned by this man with an extended cameo!!! Dileep is back after a while with a solid performance! Totally a paisa vasool entertainment!! Go for it." Giving an overview of the film, a user penned, "#BhaBhaBa one word review: Madness perfect festival-season entertainer with solid making. Dileep shines throughout, while Dhyan and Vineeth Sreenivasan deliver strong performances. The OG’s #Mohanlal entry turns the theatre into a stadium mode."

Praising Mohanlal and Dileep’s collaboration, a user wrote, "#BhaBhaBa: Freaking Madness. No logic, Ghilli universe City. Ghilli Bala. Great making. The story was okay, but screen play and making were good. Dileep and Mohanlal combo was lit. Pre interval scene fight with Vintage songs...celebrated madmax." A mixed review can be read as:
"#BhaBhaBa is a balanced spoof comedy with a good 1st half & a mediocre 2nd half. There are some flaws, but they don't affect the intended audience due to the style of production. #Dileep truly shines& #Mohanlal's cameo adds the needed energy to the film. BGM takes the film to a new level."
