Their home is a safe space where all the ills and evils of the outside world are banished, and only memories of laughter and love exist. However, there are some homes that not only become the soul of the family but also wow those who see them, and one such home was made in Bengaluru, which left the internet mesmerised.

In the times when a vast percentage of construction is dependent on concrete and steel, a Bengaluru homeowner proved that there was another way to build their dream home. The owner defied the conventional ways and opted for an out-of-the-box technique to build their dream estate without using a single spec of cement or concrete. Built solely with stone, the villa has not just captivated the internet but also made the netizens rethink their options for building a house.

The video was shared by the content creator, Priyam Saraswat, on his official Instagram page. The homeowner showed off his mesmerising house with pride and asserted that it was the first zero-cement house not just in India but globally. The house is meant to be both sustainable and exceedingly durable and is projected to have a lifespan of over 1000 years. The concept has drawn widespread attention to the ancient techniques used in India centuries ago, with netizens noting how there are structures from old India that follow the same concepts and techniques.

The homeowner, who has the patent for the house, revealed that they have not used even 1 kg of cement in the entire house. He added that they had procured the stones from a more sustainable method, making sure there was no emission or dust during the making. He shared that the structure is made of pure Indian grey granite, and they have used sandstones in some internal parts of the house.

Talking about how the house was built, the homeowner stated that instead of using cement or any adhesives, they relied on carefully selected stones that had been expertly fitted together. The owner, who shared that he has worked with stones for the majority of his life, stated that they had built the house using the traditional interlocking method. He added that no blasting or synthetic binders were used in the making of the house, and it is a work of pure craftsmanship and precision.

While the design might seem unorthodox in today's world, similar constructions have existed for centuries in temples and heritage structures. The homeowner revealed that one of the main reasons why he opted for this method and material was to extend the longevity of his home, as normal concrete houses can only last for up to 100 years. However, while the making might have been traditional, the home comes with all the modern amenities and comforts, making it the perfect blend of modernity and traditional craftsmanship.
