Earlier, grooms hardly concentrated on their outfit or look for the wedding, a new sherwani, or kurta-dhoti and some good fragrances for the groom were the only need. Times have changed and have signaled a welcome sign for the jodhupuri bandhgala, the achkan and the indo-western style outfits for the Indian groom.  The dhoti kurtas, and sherwanis too have received a make over in order to keep up with the times. The wedding dress has to be chosen according to the physical traits and the look of the groom. The richness of the fabric or the embroidery of the shrewanis ensures that the grooms look on par with the glittering bride. The western look is for those grooms who are not very comfortable in the Indian attires.

Accessories for The Indian Groom

The groom adorns himself up with accessories which are not many in number, but quality of these will ensure a glamorous look. Branded tie- pins, cuff links, scarves, good leather boots or mojris and other leather items to are some of the accessories, which are being used increasingly by the Indian groom. The most important accessory remains the watch. The sehra is an important part of wedding dressing. It has to be carefully chosen so as to match the color, feel and fabric of the wedding dress.  Some use family heritage jewels to add up glamour to the sehra, and some just do it up simply with flowers.

Skincare And Hairdo

Welcome the metrosexual man! Grooms these days take good care of their skin, nails, hair and looks; they go in for thorough skin toning, cleansing and moisturizing regimes along with manicure and pedicure just as the Indian bride does. The hair is done only after discussing the desired look with the stylists and keeping in mind the wedding dress that the groom has chosen. The latest unisex parlours, although expensive, offer great service. And the effect shows, which is priceless.

It appears that the Indian groom has finally come of age and is ready to mark the beginning of his married life looking his best.
