'BB 18' Winner Karan Veer Mehra On Comparison With Late Sidharth Shukla, 'Dil Ka Bahut Bada Tha...'

Bigg Boss 18 has finally drawn to a close after 105 days of high-octane drama, explosive arguments, and exciting tasks. While Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal were expected to go head-to-head for the winner's title, unexpectedly, but much to the joy of his many adoring fans, it was Karan Veer Mehra who took the trophy home. The actor may have had a slow start. However, over time, his loyalty to his friends, his adorable moments with Chum Darang, and his calm demeanour even as his personal life was being dragged into the show won over the hearts of fans. Recently, Karan Veer Mehra was seen reacting to his comparison with the late Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla. 

Karan Veer Mehra says he's happy to be compared with Sidharth Shukla due to the latter's big heart

After Karan Veer Mehra exited Bigg Boss 18 with the trophy in hand, the media were in a frenzy with questions for him. During the interview, Karan was asked how he felt about being compared with the late Sidharth Shukla. For the unversed, Karan and Sidharth both claimed the winner's title in their respective seasons of Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss. 

Karan poured his heart out while talking about his late friend and fellow actor, Sidharth Shukla. The Bigg Boss 18 winner noted that while he hadn't spent much time with Sidharth, they still knew each other 'very well.' Karan further expressed his admiration for the latter's huge heart. He can be quoted as saying:

"Bahut acha ladka tha woh. Mera bahut acha dost tha. Humne kaafi zyada time spend nahi kya, but we knew each other very well. And mein khush hu ki mujhe usse compare kiya ja raha hai because wo dil ka bahut bada insaan that."

Karan further recalled a heartwarming anecdote about the late Sidharth Shukla's kindness towards him when he was still new to the industry. Karan revealed that he had hoped to get a couple of pictures with Sidharth's bike for his portfolio. However, the large-hearted actor's response left him stunned. Karan recounted:

"Wo neeche aake apni chabi de gaya aur usne kaha ki back road pe chalate hue photos kheech. Toh itni mehengi bike koi dost ko aise hi dede toh aap samaj sakte ho ki dil kitna bada tha uska. So I miss him, I wish I could share this moment with him also."

Netizens were awed by Karan Veer Mehra's heartfelt response upon being compared to the late Sidharth Shukla. One user penned, "Sid and Karan both so deserving and amazing," while another tagged Karan and wrote, "Ek hi dil hai kitni baar jeetoge yaar." However, some were also enraged by the comparison and alleged that Karan hadn't won the show organically. One user penned, "Please don't compare him to Siddharth Shukla. He's nothing compared to him. Siddharth won by winning people, this guy won thru connections NO COMPARISON."

Vivian Dsena reacts to losing the trophy to Karan Veer Mehra

Vian Dsena and Karan Veer Mehra were nearly always at odds during the running of Bigg Boss Season 18. While Karan claimed to be Vivian's friend, the latter always made it clear to him that he didn't view him the same way. Vivian was also seen slamming Karan behind his back by calling him a 'joke' and dissing his failed marriages. Following his loss, Vivian reacted to the same and said:

"Mene humesha se kaha hai main destiny believer hu. Aur uski destiny me trophy likhi thi toh wo le gaya. Meri destiny me logon ka pyaar likha hai, woh toh mujhe bahut mila hai."
