In 2023, he suffered a heart attack, and since then, he had not been keeping up well with his health. It was on April 14, 2025, when Janardhan took his last breath in the Manipal Hospital. He reportedly had complexities with multiple organs, and despite several doctors being assigned to treat him, he breathed his last on April 14, 2025. He kickstarted his career in the theatre. Later than that, Janardhan got a job reportedly at Canara Bank, which bought him the title of 'Bank Janardhan'.

It was in 1991, when Janardhan Chauhan stepped into the acting world with the movie, Ajagajanthara. Apart from that, he was also seen in soap operas like Paapa Pandu, Mangalya, Jokali, and Robo Family. Janardhan was regarded as one of the finest actors in the Kannada film industry, and he was known for bringing the best comic timing to his roles on screen. His work in the movie, Tarle Nan Maga and Shhh struck a chord in the hearts of the audience, making him stand out in the crowd. Bank Janardhan's son, Guruprasad reacts to his demise

Talking about Bank Janardhan's son, Guruprasa, is a director and an actor. Recently, Guruprasad talked about his father's demise. He revealed that his dad has been suffering from illness for the last 20 days. Guruprasad further shared that his father got better in between and moved back to their home, and his health started deteriorating again. The veteran actor was admitted to the hospital on Friday, and he was in the ICU. Later, things became more complicated, and he started facing serious breathing issues and multiple organ complexities, including kidney failure. It was in the wee hours of 2.30 a.m. on April 14, 2025, when Bank Janardhan breathed his last. Lamenting his father's demise, Guruprasad said:

"We expected him to recover, but we lost him."

The family sources revealed to NDTV that the late actor's mortal remains were taken to the family first and then to Ravindra Kalakshetra. Janardhan's fans, family members and peers were present to pay their last respects to the veteran actor. Reportedly, on the evening of April 14, 2025, Janardhan's last rites will be performed at the crematorium at Peenya.
