Banita Sandhu Breaks Silence On Alleged Breakup With AP Dhillon, 'There Have Been Many Rumours...'

Banita Sandu is a Welsh actress who has worked extensively in Indian films like October, Sardar Uddham and the popular English series, Bridgerton. She became popular for her versatile acting skills, beauty and charm. However, besides her professional achievements, Banita's personal life has kept her in the headlines. The actress was rumoured to be dating Canada-based Punjabi singer, AP Dhillon although they always maintained silence over the speculations, and later, their breakup rumours left fans upset. Recently, in an interview, Banita shared her views on the speculations of her breakup. 

Banita Sandu opens up about the speculations about her breakup with AP Dhillon 

Banita Sandhu recently sat down for an interview with the Times Of India. During the conversation, Banita was asked about the speculations related to her personal life and alleged breakup. In her response, the actress shared that she is rather focusing on her work. Banita agreed that many rumours are floating about her personal life, and she has been linked with various people, but she has never felt a need to address them. In her words: 

"There have been so many rumours over the years of who I've been dating, and that's just not. Something that I feel needs energy. I'm very mindful of what I'm putting my energy into. And for me, it's work. The rumours don't faze me at all. It's part and parcel of this industry. You just can't pay attention to that outside stuff, otherwise you're just hurting yourself."

Banita added that despite working globally on different projects, she was to work in more Hindi movies. Sharing an update, the actress mentioned that she had met a filmmaker who expressed a desire to work with her. They were looking for her from months but didn't know how to contact her. The October actress, who intends to work in more commercial Indian films, said: 

"I met a producer now, and he's like, we wanted to work with you, but we didn't know where you were. There is this sentiment that I just did these two movies, and I disappeared," 

Banita Sandhu was seen attending Diljit Dosanjh's concert after his tiff with AP Dhillon 

During November and December 2024, AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh had their concerts In India and amid that they had engaged in a major social media tiff. Later, Banita's presence at Diljit Dosanjh's Mumbai concert further intensified rumours of her breakup with AP. She also attended Karan Aujla's concert but gave a miss to AP Dhillon's, raising eyebrows. 

About AP Dhillon and Banita Sandhu's alleged affair 

AP Dhillon and Banita Sandhu first made headlines together for their crackling chemistry in his song, With You's music video in August 2023. It featured them posing for cosy mirror selfies, having cute fights, enjoying romantic dinners, and setting major couple goals with more adorable moments. Later, Banita dropped some romantic pictures with AP, raising speculation about her affair. However, in the latter months of 2024, Times Now reported that the couple had parted ways, and AP is reportedly dating Ayra Starr. The source said:

"He seemed quite bright and cheerful in New York, and their chemistry was hard to ignore. They make a great couple."
