Babil Khan's Team Gives Clarification Behind His Video Accusing Bollywood Bullies, 'He Is Allowed..'

Babil Khan is the son of late Bollywood actor, Irrfan Khan and his wife, Sutapa Sikdar. Known for his grounded nature and sensitive personality, he won the hearts of audiences with his chivalrous nature. Unlike many other star kids who use a glamorous path to step into Bollywood, the young actor craved his distinct identity by playing complex and impactful roles. However, he recently ignited a new stir after a viral video of Babil surfaced online where he was seen calling out other Bollywood personalities who have been rude to him. Once the news gained momentum fans were confused and made different theories to explain his behaviour. Now, the young actor's team has shared an official stance on the matter. 

Babil Khan's team mentioned he made the video during his 'difficult day'

Babil Khan's video recently created a stir online and fans were confused trying to deduce the meaning behind it. Some felt it was a prank or AI video, and others felt the people in Bollywood mistreated him. But, the actor's team quickly stepped in and issued an official clarification on the matter. Sharing a formal note, they reassured fans about his well-being and mentioned that Babil was just experiencing one of his difficult days, referring to his mental health struggles. They penned:

"Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days - and this was one of them. We want to reassure all of his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon."

Babil Khan's team added that the video was also taken out of context, and people misinterpreted the meaning behind it. They mentioned that rather than criticising, Babil was acknowledging the contribution of his peers like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh in the video. Consequently, they urged media organisations to understand the context of the case before picking up bits and pieces from it. It read:

"In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry. We respectfully urge media publications and the public to consider the full context of his words rather than concluding fragmented video clips."

What did Babil Khan say in his viral video?

It all started during the earlier hours of May 4, 2025, when a video clip of Babil Khan surfaced on Reddit. In the video, he looked upset and emotional as he found it difficult to put down his thoughts. He shed tears and confessed that Bollywood personalities have been rude to him. Taking the names as his peers, including Shanaya Kapoor and Ananya Panday, he called out the film industry. He later deleted his Instagram handle, but the damage was done. Making shocking claims in his video, Babil said: 

"What I mean to say is that I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even… Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names. Bollywood is so ****ed. Bollywood is so, so rude."

Babil Khan's career so far 

Babil Khan had made up his mind to pursue a career in the entertainment world and follow in his father's footsteps as a young child. He worked as a camera intern for his father Irrfan's movie, Qarib Qarib Single, and debuted with the 2017 film, Qala. Babil was also seen in films and TV shows, including The Railway Man and Friday Night Plan. He was last seen in the thriller-drama film, Logout, released on April 18, 2025.
