Babil Khan's First Appearance After 5 Months Of Public Breakdown, Shakti Kapoor Fails To Recognise

Babil Khan had a difficult year as glimpses of his emotional breakdown went viral on the internet. A video of him was shared on his social media, where he expressed his frustration with Bollywood and called it fake. Not only this, but he even dragged several celebrities and made some startling revelations. Later, the videos were deleted, and it was dismissed as his misinterpretation. However, after five months of public outbursts, Babil was spotted for the first time.

On October 7, 2025, Babil was spotted for the first time since his very public breakdown on social media five months earlier. He happily greeted the photographers stationed outside the airport. However, he appeared more subdued than his usual self. He was dressed up in a multicoloured jacket and carried a leather backpack.

Shakti Kapoor failed to recognise Babil Khan 

However, as soon as Babil Khan entered the airport, Shakti Kapoor was the next celebrity to get papped. However, the veteran actor failed to recognise Babil Khan. He gently asked the photographer who the person was. When they told him it was Babil Khan, Irrfan Khan's son, he realised who they were referring to.

Babil Khan's emotional breakdown

For those who don't know, a video of Babil went viral on Reddit, leaving fans extremely concerned for him. In the clip, Babil looks upset and about to break down as he tries to form words to express his emotions. Babil mentioned some of the renowned Bollywood people, including Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Arjun Kapoor. Not only this, but he also included Raghav Juyal, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and some more, as he called them extremely rude. He was quoted as saying:

"What I mean to say is that, I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even… Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names. Bollywood is so ****ed. Bollywood is so, so rude."

It is also worth mentioning that the post, which seems to have been shared as Babil's IG story, was immediately taken down as soon as it was posted. Babil even deleted his Instagram handle, but he soon rejoined. Later, he thanked Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Gaurav Adarsh, and Arijit Singh for their support. His note can be read as:

"Thank you so much, this video was extremely misinterpreted. I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Gaurav Adarsh, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal and Arijit Singh. I genuinely don't have the energy to indulge more, but I do this as a responsibility for my peers that I truly admire."

When Huma Qureshi slammed Babil Khan behind his back

Another controversy which involved Babil was with Huma Qureshi. For the unversed, Huma Qureshi and Babil Khan crossed paths at a costume party event, which was attended by several celebrities like Sushmita Sen, Tanishaa Mukerji, Wamiqa Gabbi, and many more. Babil and Huma were spotted together just before entering the venue. However, things took a turn when Babil confronted Huma about someone.

While they conversed, paparazzi continued recording them and clicking their picture. Babil went on to complain to Huma that someone was not picking up his call. He said, "Usne phone bhi nahi uthaaya mera." However, Huma looked uncomfortable as she tried to steer away from the conversation and replied, "Later, we will talk, haa." It seemed like Babil didn't take the cue as he asked, "Wo gussa hai mujhse." Huma looked a bit annoyed after this and said, 'I have no idea. Sorry." She quickly tried to get inside the venue. However, she was heard telling her friend, "I want to slap that boy."
