On January 22, 2024, the honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi is going to add a big page in the history books, which will be known for the decades to come. The inauguration of Ram Mandir in his birthplace, Ayodhya is no longer a dream for Hindus across the world, as PM Modi has managed to make it a reality.
On January 22, Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's largest temple, Ram Mandir, and during the pran-pratishtha ceremony, an idol of Ram Lalla will be installed inside the sanctum-sanctorum (Garbha-griha) of the temple. As per multiple reports, devotees will be allowed to enter the temple starting January 24, 2023. For the unversed, India's renowned Sompura Family is behind the construction of Ram Mandir, and it is believed that the temple is approximately 161 feet along with 28,000 square feet of area.

There are tons of interesting facts and figures about Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, but the one that is getting all the limelight is the idol of Ram Lalla. Right from the beginning of its construction on August 5, 2020, everyone wanted to know about the idol of Lord Ram, which would be installed inside the Garbha-griha of the temple.
Now, finally, it has been revealed that the famous sculptor, Arun Yogiraj is the man whose idol has been selected by Ram Mandir's temple trust. As soon as the news made its way on the internet, people wanted to know more about Arun as he was the man, who was leading all the headlines after his idol was selected. Arun Yogiraj is one of the most famous sculptors in India, who has a massive fanbase of 30.9K followers on his Instagram handle. As per multiple reports, Arun has a family background of five generations of sculptors in Mysore, which clearly proves that sculpting is their family's legacy. For the unversed, Arun's father, Yogiraj is also a skilled artist and has worked on many high-level projects.
Not only this, but Arun Yogiraj's grandfather, B. Basavanna Shilpi was one of the biggest sculptors in India. The doting grandson posted a picture of his grandfather posing alongside the first Prime Minister of India. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru a few months back.
However, what's even more interesting is the fact that he also added a picture of himself with PM Narendra Modi, citing how his family's legacy in sculpting has come a long way. The picture went viral on social media, and people started lauding the artist and his family for their incredible contribution to the field of sculpting in India.

A lot of credit to Arun Yogiraj's idol of Ram Lalla being selected by Ram Mandir's temple trust goes to the significant artworks he has made in his career till now. For the unversed, the famous 28-ft statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose near India Gate is carved by him.
He is also the artist behind the iconic 12-ft tall sculpture of Guru Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath. Not only this, even the famous 21-ft tall statue of Lord Hanuman, which is termed as one of the highlights of Mysore was built by Arun. With so many famous sculptors to his name, Arun has managed to add another feather to his hat by making Ram Lalla's idol.

Currently, Arun Yogiraj is one of the biggest sculptors in India, but there was a time when he was doing a private job. After completing his MBA, Arun started working in the corporate sector. However, after doing a 9 to 5 job, he soon realised that his passion lay in sculpting.
The youngster left his job and started his journey as a sculptor with the aim of taking his family's rich legacy in sculpting to a higher level. Well, with all these achievements to his name, he has indeed taken his family's legacy to a whole new level.
