Asif Ali Starrer 'Abhyanthara Kuttavaali' Faces Delay In Release, Let's Unveil The Reason Behind It

Asif Ali’s Abhyanthara Kuttavaali was all set to hit the screens on April 17, 2025, but now it seems unlikely as the movie failed to release on its scheduled date. Sethunath Padmakumar’s directional debut, Abhyanthara Kuttavaali, will star Asif Ali, a prominent Malayalam actor.

Asif Ali, along with director, Sethunath and producer, Naisam Salam, finally broke their silence about the unforeseen delay. They pointed out that there have been some legal issues that came up prior to the release of the film. For those unversed, there have been allegations of financial misconduct surrounding the production of the upcoming Malayalam film.

Asif Ali starrer Abhyanthara Kuttavaali was postponed twice prior release

On April 24, 2025, taking to his Instagram handle, Asif Ali, along with director, Sethunath and producer, Naisam, shared a live video stating the reasons that led to the unexpected delay in the release of the film, Abhyanthara Kuttavaali. Following a legal dispute and financial misconduct, the film’s release was delayed. The previous production has filed a financial fraud case against Naisam Salam, the current producer of the film.

The makers of the film say that although the film is currently stuck in a legal dispute, the claims brought up by the previous production are simply baseless and unexpected. Director, Sethunath Padmakumar stood beside producer, Naisam Salam and confirmed that neither he nor anyone from the production team had taken any money from the previous producer.

Abhyanthara Kuttavalli’s producer, Naisam Salam, revealed the previous producer is blackmailing them

Naisam Salam said in the live video that the charges brought up by the previous producer were totally false. He also revealed that the previous producer is blackmailing and claiming to return the large amount of money that he has never given to the current production. He also mentioned that this false financial fraud case made him move to the Supreme Court. Speaking of the same, Naisam said in the video:

“When someone insists that money be returned without having paid anything in the first place, it can only be called blackmail. These false complaints have prompted me to go to the Supreme Court.”

Asif Ali also shared his views on the film’s release delay

The main lead of the film, Asif Ali, whom the director specially chose for the film, Abhyanthara Kuttavaali, after his star performance in the film, Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha, also shared his views on the release delay. In the video, Asif expressed complete disappointment with the current situation. He mentioned that the entire team has gone into distress following the legal controversy.

Asif began his career with modelling and also worked as a video jockey. In 2010, his film, Kadha Thudarunnu became a superhit. Since then, he appeared in many films, including Apoorvaragam, Traffic and Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha.
