Indians are currently on a mission of boycotting Maldives after their ministers passed offensive comments on PM, Narendra Modi. The Maldives authorises suspended the ministers, but the controversy doesn’t seem to be resolved anytime soon. Amidst this chaos, Modi is promoting travel to Indian islands. All the B-town celebrities and social media influencers have aligned with PM Modi’s vision and are now promoting Island tourism to Lakshadweep.
Actor, Ranveer Singh took to his X account (former Twitter) to promote Indian tourism in respect to Lakshadweep. However, the picture he shared was of the Maldives. Netizens soon pointed out his blunder, and Ranveer deleted the post as soon as he realised his mistake. Now, Ashneer Grover and Vir Das trolled the actor for the same.

Vir Das took to his X account and expressed his happiness on seeing Lakshadweep getting its much-deserved hype and, at the same time, took a sly dig at Indian celebrities and influencers. He joked that these celebs who did not eat carbs for two weeks and had the best vacation in Maldives but are now scared to post them in the fear of getting trolled. Reposting the same tweet, Ashneer Grover mocked a movie star (read Ranveer Singh) for his blunder.
Ashneer Grover took a sly dig at a movie star who is rarely active on Twitter but now is copy-pasting the same message everywhere. He added that the celebrity probably doesn’t even know where Lakshadweep is and is hiding his previous Maldives stories on Instagram.

Netizens didn’t go easy on Ranveer and trolled him for his goof-up. They take to Ashneer’s comment section and mock Ranveer, where some degrade the entire Bollywood fraternity, and some appreciate Aahneer for showing the B-town celeb their reality.
