The legendary music icons' fans were all left devastated when the hospital's trust confirmed that Asha had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. Now, her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, has given the latest update on her 92-year-old grandmother, Asha. She revealed that Asha was admitted as she had extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.

Earlier reports suggested that Asha Bhosle had suffered a cardiac arrest, but Zanai now revealed that Asha was down with a chest infection. She had also faced a bout of extreme exhaustion and, in an Instagram post, shared a note related to the health of her grandmother. Zanai's note read:

"My grandmother, Asha Bhosle, has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection, and we request you to respect our privacy. Treatment is ongoing, and we hope everything will be well. We will keep you updated with positive news."

Asha Bhosle's granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, took to her Instagram handle a while back to share a rare picture with Asha. In the frame, she was seen hugging Asha Bhosle, wearing a green-hued saree, while the evergreen singer donned a lime green saree. The background of the picture featured Asha in a grey-hued saree.

Asha Bhosle is 92 years old, but she remains active in her life. Netizens have been offering prayers for her speedy recovery. One fan of Asha Bhosle commented, "Prayers for the legend to get well soon! Hugs sweetie. Praying for the legend's quick recovery. Wishing Asha Aai strength and a speedy recovery."

When Asha Bhosle revealed how she felt singing on the stage at the age of 90

Asha Bhosle has always remained active in the music industry. When she turned 90, she held a live concert in Dubai to mark her birthday. Her energy on stage was unmatched, and her love for music inspired many. Even at 90, Asha sings as she used to croon in her youth. Earlier in an interview with PTI, Asha revealed how, at the age of 90, she feels happy to sing songs for three hours standing on the stage. In her words:

"At the age of 90, I have to stand for three hours on stage and sing songs, I'm happy I can do this at this age. Humari saans nahin hoti hai toh aadmi mar jata hai. Mere liye music meri saans hai. I have spent my life with this thought. I have given a lot to music. I feel good I've come out of difficult times. Many times I felt I would not be able to survive, but I did."

Earlier, in an interview with The Times of India, Asha Bhosle revealed that she wanted to explore many languages and dive deep into classical music. She knows the challenges of carving your niche in a competitive industry and shared how she never wants music to end. She does feel like she's missing out on singing songs in various languages. In her words:

"Music kabhi khatam nahin hota. Ye dariya hai. I've sung songs for the main artist and for the dancers as well. I believe I could fit in well with anyone. But I wish I had sung more songs in different languages. I wish I could have done more classical singing. In every field, there's politics. In films too there's politics, so it is not easy. I believe a lot in destiny, and I believe whatever is meant for me will come to me and what is not meant for me, I'll never get that."
