Shah Rukh Khan shares a close bonding with a few members of Tinseltown, who over the years, have become more like an extended family for him. People like Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Rani Mukerji, Kajol and others. Their friendship has extended beyond the boundaries of the film sets and moreover, their bond is also inclusive of each other’s spouses, children and other family members. Proof of the same was found in one throwback picture that featured Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan along with his uncles, Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra.

On May 2021, eminent filmmaker, Karan Johar had shared a special picture on his social media handle as he wished his BFF and fellow filmmaker, Aditya Chopra on his 50th birthday. The picture featured Karan and Aditya along with Shah Rukh Khan’s firstborn, baby Aryan Khan taken in the arms by the former. Karan had penned a special caption, which revealed that the picture was taken by Shah Rukh Khan himself and a little bit of a backstory to the precious snapshot. It could be read as:
“And just like that he's 50! So many memories ... so many movies... so many moments... He remains an unstoppable visionary! Silently and solidly takes on the studio mantle and creates barometers for everyone! Happy birthday to my mentor, best friend and chachu to my kids! Love you so much Adi! In of the earlier episodes of the popular celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, Shah Rukh Khan had graced the couch along with his fellow co-actresses, Rani Mukerji and Kajol. While the four of them had a blast chatting together, there was a special moment which was absolutely hilarious. It happened so that the host, Karan Johar had asked Kajol in the rapid fire round to share her reaction if one day her daughter, Nysa would elope with SRK’s son, Aryan Khan. While Kajol gave her answer as, “I would say, Dilwale Dulhe Le Jayenge”, making reference to her iconic film of her, DDLJ with SRK, it was however, the latter’s reaction which was unmissable. He mentioned:
“Mereko joke samajh nahi aaya. I'm too scared about if she gets related to me… I can't think!"
Shah Rukh Khan is a doting father to his children, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. They are the apples of his eyes and he is equally protective towards them. Interestingly, barring AbRam, who is quite young to go ahead with any profession, both his elder children have stepped in one way or the other in the showbiz world. For the unversed, while Aryan is set to make his directorial debut, Suhana, too will be making her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film, Archies. Interestingly, once in one of his earlier interviews with the Hindustan Times, SRK had spoken about the ambitions of his elder children and emphasised how none of them would jump into the field by being privileged to be his children. In his words:

“Aryan is studying to be a filmmaker and a writer, while Suhana wants to be an actor. But even if he wants to be a filmmaker, he needs to study for another five to six years and not just the literal form of studying, but probably be an assistant to Karan after he finishes his film-making course. Aisa nahi hai ki tumhara baap actor hai toh set pe aake assistant director ban jaao. Similarly, Suhana should learn acting for another three to four years if she wants to be an actor. I know many of my industry friends feel my kids should start acting tomorrow. But it’s my belief that they shouldn’t start acting yet."

Much like his father, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan shares a father-son bonding with Karan Johar, who is his mentor and guide. The duo share a special bond, and in fact, the latter considers him as his godchild. Speaking about the same, in an interview with Bombay Times, Karan Johar had opened up on Aryan Khan and revealed how he envisions the future for him. In his words:
“Aryan is my godchild. Currently, he is in Los Angeles and he has four years of university ahead of him. When he comes back, he is going to decide if he wants to be in the movies. And if he does, of course, I will be a big part of it as a director or just as a guiding support. For me, Aryan being launched is like my son being launched. I will be this hyper relative breathing down his neck."
