Arshad Warsi rose to fame with his stint in the character of ‘Circuit’ in the film, Munnabhai MBBS. He is hailed as one of the most versatile actors in his generation. Apart from his tremendous contribution to the film industry, he has also done a fair share of work in the television world, which gave him household recognition. In his personal life, he is married to former VJ, Maria Goretti and the duo is blessed with two children.
In a recent interview with Amar Ujala, Arshad Warsi commented on getting replaced by his colleagues, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in two different projects. For the unversed, Arshad was the host of the first season of the reality show, Bigg Boss, and then he was replaced by Salman Khan, who has already counted in a lot of seasons. On the other hand, Arshad was a part of the film, Jolly LLB and had gained massive appreciation. Unfortunately, he was replaced by Akshay Kumar in the sequel to the film. Speaking more on the same, Arshad mentioned:

“Now Jolly LLB 3 is in the making and you will see Akshay teaming up with me in the film. This was the original plan - I'd feature in the first film, he'll do the second. As for Bigg Boss, I could not do the next season as I had gone to London for a shoot. But I do believe Salman Khan is the best shot the show could have. No one could have done that job better than Salman. The reality show needs a Dabangg like Salman.”

In the same interview, Arshad spoke about one of his earlier hit films, Hulchul, which ended up giving him the much-needed fame and recognition. It also set up a pedestal for him to bag the other massive opportunities, which made him an overnight sensation. But, despite it all, Arshad has a very different take on being a part of that film. He mentioned that as an actor, he was not happy in being a part of Hulchul and only did work as much as he was required to do. In his words:
“To tell you the truth, I did not enjoy working on Hulchul. It is a weird coincidence. Acting is my profession and I have to do it. But, personally, I was not too happy with the film. I just did my job and walked away. At times, a few things in life end up being not good.”
In an earlier interview with ETimes, Arshad Warsi opened up on how his family thinks about his profession. The Asur actor revealed that his wife, Maria is not interested in his field of work, and on most times, she is left unpleased with his films. However, he highlighted that his wife believes in him being a good actor, who just gets bad projects to work on.

In the same interview, Arshad Warsi highlighted how he is not considered as a hero in his own house. He revealed that his family is totally disinterested in watching any of his films. He also -mentioned that his kids, who belong from a younger generation, have a different point of view on his works, which does not match his. As a result, they altogether skip watching his films.
