Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor were among the most famous couples in Bollywood. However, not all love stories have a forever ending, like the pair's relationship story. It did not survive the wrath of time, and they parted ways amicably. However, Arjun recently confessed to sending late-night texts to his ex-girlfriend.
Arjun and Malaika broke the hearts of many when they revealed in many indirect ways that they were separated. During a chat with Mashable India, the actor was asked questions about his work and private life. In a fun segment, he was asked if he had ever sent a 3 Am text to a late-night friend. Arjun reconfirmed with the host if he had generalised the question. The actor answered yes, so the host asked, "Have you ever sent a late-night text to an ex?" The Singham Again answer had no shame in saying, "I Have". Arjun then looked at the audience and quipped:

"Idhar kon hai vo jhootha jo bol raha hai kabhi ex ko message nhi kiya hai?"
On November 25, 2024, Malaika took to her Instagram story to give her fans a cryptic note about her relationship update. The post read, "My relationship status right now- in a relationship, single, hehe". The last option was tick-marked. Malaika reposted it and did not add anything to it. Arjun had also shared a note about the process of self-healing on Instagram. The content he reposted was about how, on some days, we are healing, feeling and thriving, and on some days, we are just getting by, and it's all valid.
Around the mills, there was gossip that during a Diwali 2024 party held in Mumbai, Arjun made headlines when he addressed the paps. The event saw the presence of the Singham Again cast, and the paps could not stop asking the actor about Malaika. The actor revealed he is single right now and told them to relax. In his words:
"He called me tall and handsome, so you assumed it was about my marriage."
Earlier, in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Arjun revealed about fighting loneliness after separating from Malaika. The former pair began dating in 2018 when Malaika separated from her first husband, Arbaaz Khan. He said he felt the need to take care of himself as being selfish was looked at incorrectly. Malaika and Arjun often shared cute pictures from their social outings and vacations on social media. He also stood by her when she lost her stepdad, Anil Mehta, who allegedly committed suicide in September 2024. Earlier, in an interaction with the Hollywood Reporter, the Singham Again actor shared the importance of being satisfied with oneself rather than dependent on a relationship for happiness. He said that relationships help fulfil oneself, but if one is not okay, one needs to figure it out.
