Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, reportedly jumped from the sixth floor of his apartment in Bandra and died on September 11, 2024. The news of his suicide sent shockwaves in the showbiz world, and many celebrities arrive at his residence to pay respect. Malaika Arora's family organised her father, Anil Mehta's funeral at the Santa Cruz crematorium on September 12, 2024, and her ex-beau, Arjun Kapoor, also marked his presence.
Though Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora called it quits a few months back, they continue to share a warm bond. Arjun stood by Malaika when he heard the tragic news of her father's demise and supported her. Recently, he was spotted arriving at the crematorium for Anil Mehta's funeral. He opted for a white-hued shirt and black pants as he came to participate in Anil's last rites.

Late at night, on September 11, 2024, the Arora sisters, Malaika and Amrita, were seen exiting their parents' home. While Amrita's husband, Shakeel, consoled her and held her tight, Malaika was accompanied by Arjun Kapoor. However, it was Arjun's heart-melting gesture for Malaika that swooned our hearts as he carefully escorted his ex-girlfriend to the car. Arjun stood at the car's gate and helped Malaika get inside without any trouble. Needless to say, the actor's concern for Malaika was clearly evident as he stayed by her side till late at night and even helped her to get home safely.

A day after Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta's demise, the police took his body for post-mortem. According to a report in News18, it has been revealed that the post-mortem was conducted on the night of September 11, 2024, at around 8 pm. A source revealed that in the report, it was mentioned that the cause behind Anil's death was multiple injuries. However, more details are awaited.
