Lububu dolls went viral within no time. The funny-looking dolls have been to Wimbledon, celeb homes and now to your local market. But there is a strong buzz going around that Labubus are not cute, but rather devilish. A viral social media post linked Labubu dolls to the ancient demon, Pazuzu. After which, people around the world started burning their dolls. Some even claimed to notice weird incidents after buying Labubus.
People across social media are sending out warnings that 'Labubu dolls' are not innocent-looking play toys, but rather, they are being called demonic, and one should not take Labubus home. It originates from a Hong Kong-based artist and illustrator, Kasing Lung's world and is inspired by Nordic folklore. However, an Instagram user shared a video with a Labubu doll next to a demon, and gave the warning:
"Do not buy this demonic toy for your children or yourself!!"
Soon, social media was abuzz, and people claimed that Labubu had dark energies. However, soon fans started destroying and burning their dolls. However, there is no proof that Labubu are connected to demons or not. A social media user claimed that it is a crazy phenomenon as adults are going crazy for Labubu, who is neither cute nor affordable. The user wrote:

That brings us back to the question, what does Labubu represent and why now? Posts like this are out there. Warning about the demonic. Even multiple takes of “the Labubu doll ushers in negative energy, with strange nocturnal sounds, objects moving of their own accord, and a sense of foreboding” from those owning these dolls."
Another one commented on how Labubu gained traction after K-Pop group, Blackpink's Lisa, was spotted flaunting it. The user wrote, "The huge push into the mainstream came when a Lisa from the K-pop group Blackpink shared her own Labubu collection but since then people can’t seem to help themselves."
Television actress, Archana Gautam, also revealed a horrific incident which happened to her friend's friend who brought the Labubu to her home, and her fixed marriage got cancelled. Not only this, the girl's father passed away on the second day. Archana, who looked scared, explained how the girl's life changed, and bad luck followed her.

It is worth mentioning that in Children's folklore, Labubus are considered female elf-like creatures with creepy looks but good hearts.
