Archita grabbed the limelight in early July 2025 when her transition reel, featuring Romanian singer Kate Linn’s Dame Un Grrr, was shared online. In the reel, Archita was seen transitioning from a saree to a glam avatar. The reel not just grabbed a lot of views, but also made Archita a talking point on many social media platforms.

Archita Phukan fell prey to a cyber attack

After her pictures and reels went viral, a page called Just Assam Things alleged that the model's personality was generated via AI by cropping the face of someone onto the body of another person, and enhancing their features. Her bio, which initially listed Archita Phukan's name, was also changed to Amira Ishtara. People also started claiming that the model was a creation of AI and realised that Archita did not have any behind-the-scenes shots or public appearances.

The truth about Archita’s viral pictures were far more disturbing. While she was leading the headlines, one after another, a boy approached the Dibrugarh police station and filed an FIR against his sister’s ex-boyfriend. The boy alleged that his sister’s ex-boyfriend, Pratim Bora, a mechanical engineer from Tinsukia, stole her pictures from social media and used AI to create the profile of ‘Babydoll Archi’.

The transition reel, featuring pictures of Kendra Lust, was created without Archita's knowledge, and she only found out about it when the profile went viral on the internet. Dibrugarh Police soon arrested 27-year-old Pratim Bora, the man who orchestrated the heinous crime to take revenge from his ex-girlfriend.

He used her pictures, morphed them using AI tools and used them as explicit content. Investigators traced the origins of the visuals from the device owned by Pratim. In short, Pratim turned his ex-girlfriend’s life miserable by turning her into an AI-generated adult content celebrity. Dibrugarh police chief revealed Pratim's motive was to humiliate and harass the victim after their breakup. The officer also stated:

“This was a deliberate attempt to malign her image following a personal fallout. The visuals are fake, and Archita has no connection with adult content or any activities abroad.”
