Meet Archana Kavi's Husband, Rick Varghese: Met Actress On A Dating App, Dealt With Her Traumas

Popular Malayam actress, Archana Kavi, has been known for her extraordinary performance in Neelathamara where she played the role of 'Kunjimalu'. She married Rick Varghese for the second time and embarked on a new journey in life after experiencing a turbulent marriage with her childhood friend, comedian Abish Mathew. Archana has always been open about whom she loved; however, her husband, Rick, seems to be a private person. A look at his Instagram handle will show that he has zero posts.

Rick and Archana have kicked off new beginnings after reportedly getting married in a private ceremony. Archana has often revealed in her interviews how she gave love a chance for the second time and how it bloomed, and what it was about Rick that always made her relationship extra special. Rick seems to be a very understanding person, and their meeting in itself was magical.

Archana, during an interview with Mathrubhumi, stated of meeting Rick on a dating app and that they had casually matched just for the sake of time pass. However, sooner or later, their bond transformed into something very deep, and they started discussing meaningful topics. Archana was not doing well after her divorce from Abish and also underwent clinical depression. Speaking of how some force got their jodi together, she said:

"I met him on a dating app while my home was being constructed in Kannur. I was on the app just to pass the time and had no intention of dating. But with him, right from the beginning, we were discussing big things. It felt as though some other force had brought us together."

In the interview, the actress further shared that her connection had a deeper meaning due to the honesty and understanding between them, and revealed how she had spoken about her traumas with Rick. Archana had shared that her connection had deepened because both of them were very honest and understanding towards one another. She said:

"I shared everything with him, including my traumas. This was a strategy I used to follow. I know it’s not ideal, but I used to tell the person I was dating all my bad habits. I wanted to see if they could handle the nonsense I was bringing into the relationship."

Archana felt that Rick was someone whose actions and words completely matched, as she realised in today's times, people did not understand the mental health of anyone. However, with Rick, his words and actions matched, and she sensed that he was all things different. Rick was someone who handled the nonsense she got into the relationship and spoke about how he handled her mental health, as well as personal-related struggles. Rick was always good at handling the personal hardships of Archana.

Rick Varghese told Archana Kavi that a daughter needed princess treatment

Archana noticed that whenever she had her set of breakdowns, Rick stayed and did not leave her. She found the quality in him very rare as well as precious. His promises were not at all fake, and Archana once told the publication how her dad used to treat her and her mom extremely well. In her words:

"My father used to treat me and my mother so well. He was particular about creating special moments with us. And Rick is the only man who said, ‘a daughter should be treated as a princess.’ And he treats me so well – like I’ve never been treated before."

Rick had told Archana that she did not have to deal with his parents, which was his responsibility. She knew that he had been raised well and that her in-laws were the sweetest people she had ever met. The actress found love for the second time, this time with Rick, after having a miserable marriage with Abish for like five years.
