Arbaz Patel Opens Up About His Equation With Dhanashree Verma, 'This Was A Part Of The Game...'

Rise and Fall, the reality game show hosted by Ashneer Grover, has come to an end on October 17, 2025. TV actor, Arjun Bijlani, took home the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 28.10 lakh, while social media influencer, Aarush Bhola and reality TV star, Arbaz Patel, became the first runner-up and second runner-up.

The major highlight of the show was TV actress, Nikki Tamboli’s boyfriend, Arbaz Patel’s overpossessive nature towards Indian cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal’s ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma. Now, in an interview, Arbaz opened up about their bond.

In a recent interview with India Today, Arbaz was asked about his bond with Dhanashree. In response, Arbaz said it was nothing but an alliance. The reality TV star shared that whenever he is part of a show, he focuses only on the game. He explained that friendships and relationships can be built in the real world. But when a person is part of a game show, the sole motive is to win. He was quoted as saying:

"Alliance. Whenever I am on a show, I play the game. It's really difficult to survive otherwise. You are here to win. Friendships and relationships can be achieved in the real world. Everyone is just using one another in the game."

Arbaz went on to explain how important it is to make an alliance in the game. The reality TV star shared that many people said that he must have listened to his girlfriend’s advice. He mentioned that Dhanashree and his bond were part of his gameplay. In his words:

"This was an alliance. Many people are saying that I did not listen to my girlfriend Nikki's advice. But you must also understand that it is very important to make an alliance in this game. This was a part of the game. I had to do it to move ahead in the game. She also played the game in her own way. When I was a ruler, she was very friendly towards me. When someone else took that space, her equation also changed."

Further in the interview, Arbaz reacted to Arjun Bijlani’s big win on the show, Rise and Fall. He shared that if somebody from the final contestants who played the game well after him, it was the Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi actor. Arbaz also expressed his happiness over Arjun’s victory. He was quoted as saying:

"If someone played the game well after me, it was Arjun, and I am happy to see him win. The show is such that we don't know how it's going to go ahead. When it was just the three of us (along with influencer Aarush Bhola), we had to vote for the winner among us. So it was all fate. This show was all about building alliances and playing the game with support."

Speaking about his win, Arjun told the media that his journey on the show was quite tough, as each day brought tough challenges and new lessons. He then went on to thank every contestant of Rise and Fall. He especially mentioned Aarush Bhola and Arbaz Patel, the first runner-up and second runner-up and thanked them for standing by his side and acknowledging him as the winner.
