AR Rahman's fans were left worried after reports about him being hospitalised made rounds on social media. It was reported that the music maestro complained of chest pain, and following the same, he was taken to a hospital in Chennai. Well, this was nothing like that, and the singer is now well. Yes! he was admitted to the hospital, but it was not because of any kind of chest pain but dehydration. Recently, AR Rahman's son, Ameen confirmed that his dad was hospitalised but due to dehydration only and nothing more.
Taking to his IG handle, AR Rahman's son, Ameen dropped a picture note, wherein he thanked the music composer's fans, friends, and family for their good wishes. Ameen further revealed that his father felt a bit weak, which was caused by dehydration, and thus, they decided to go to the hospital for a routine checkup and tests. He confirmed that his dad is doing good now. Thanking Rahman's fans for their love and gratitude, AR Rahman's son, Ameen penned:
"To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I’m happy to share that he is doing well now. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!”
On the other hand, the reports which claimed that the music maestro had suffered chest pain, left everyone worried about whether it was something serious. AR Rahman's team has dismissed the false buzz about him. Talking to ANI, Rahman's team said that it's fake news and the only reason that Rahman headed to the hospital was dehydration and neck pain. AR Rahman's team confirmed:
"It's fake news (on heart issues) spreading now. Rahman went to hospital because he got dehydrated and has neck pain due to travel."
After reports claimed that several heart-related tests were performed on AR Rahman, talking to NDTV, AR Rahman's spokesperson stated that he felt unwell after returning from London, he felt unwell, and it was caused due to his fasting for Ramzan.
For the unversed, AR Rahman recently went through a tough phase in his personal life, since he got divorced from his wife, Saira Banu. Saira and AR Rahman got married on March 12, 1995, and it was in November 2024, when the couple called it quits. The couple has three kids, AR Ameen, Khatija, and Raheema Rahman. The couple has decided to take the decision from a place of pain. As per Saira's lawyer, it was a tough decision for her and she has decided this from a place of emotional strain. While the couple shared deep love, among each other, they had to call it quits as there had been some gaps between them that couldn't be bridged further.
