December 11, 2017. Evening. One blush pink monotone picture from Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s social media handles, with a beautiful note happy-stirred the media and netizens. Virat and Anushka, the duo, who had never accepted their relationship in public, are now husband and wife! Trust us you, our excitement knew no bounds! Ever since rumours about Virushka’s (as their fans fondly call them) dating spree came about, we had always rooted for them to upgrade their courtship to marriage and how beautifully it had finally happened!
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have been married for over one-and-a-half-years and we still can’t get over the beauty and love that their wedding pictures had come laced with. Anushka got married at the age of 29, considered very early for actresses to get married. In an interview with Filmfare, the doting wife revealed why she did so. She stated, “Our audience is way more evolved than our industry is. Audiences are just interested in seeing actors on screen. They don’t care about your personal lives, whether you’re married or whether you’re a mother. We need to get out of this headspace. I got married at 29, supposedly young for an actress. But I did it because I was in love. (Smiles) And I am in love. Marriage was a natural progression.”
Anushka Sharma was all-praises for her hubby, Virat Kohli and had talked about him as a person. She shared, “His honesty is something I deeply value. I’m an honest person and have suffered on account of that. He’s brutally honest too. I’m so happy that I met someone like him because we both lead our lives with complete honesty. It’s so transparent and clean. I have a life partner with whom nothing is pretentious. Everything is real. Also, the fact that we both support each other. He’s someone, who’s constantly trying to get better professionally and as an individual. I’m also like that. We don’t take ourselves so seriously. We’re similar as people. That’s why we get along.” (Also Read: Bipasha Basu Helped Erica Fernandes Put Together Her Bridal Look For Reel Wedding With Hubby, Karan?)
Anushka was the Vogue cover girl for March and in the same, Bollywood’s Pari had revealed the extent to which the couple had gone to keep their wedding a secret, which included keeping fake names for preparations! Revealing the details, Anushka had shared, “We even used fake names while talking to the caterer; I think Virat’s was Rahul.” She had further added, “We wanted to have a home-style wedding. There were only 42 people there, with all our friends and family present. I wanted it to be about Virat and me marrying each other, and not this big celebrity wedding. The energy at our wedding was blessed.”

Given the back-to-back projects and work that is keeping the workaholic couple, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli occupied, the former had shared how much time she wants to spend with her hubby, “The past few years of my life I have been working so much. Now I have to take out time for what is important to me. Spending time with my husband is important. Unfortunately, we’re hardly in the same place at the same time, so in the time that I have off, I want to prioritise spending time with him and my family.”
Anushka Sharma was last was seen in Aanand L. Rai’s Zero. Prior to the same, she had starred in Sui Dhaaga, opposite Varun Dhawan. During the promotions of the film, the actress had spoken about her camaraderie with hubby, Virat Kohli, in an interaction with film critic and senior journalist, Anupama Chopra. Therein, she had stated, “I think we are both not so attached to what we do. The other day someone asked me a question you know ‘power couple and two powerful people from your own industry. You know when you are together, how do you manage this and all’. And I thought to myself and I told them also, we don’t see ourselves like that. We start to see ourselves that way then there is something really wrong in the nature of our relationship. If someone really wants to have an insight into our lives, we are very simple people, wanting to do normal, very simple things.” (Must Read: 'Dance Plus 3' Fame Amardeep Singh Natt Gets Hitched To His Dreamgirl, Chandni (Pictures Inside))
