It’s 7 o’clock in the morning and we are already running late for work. Commuting for 4 hours per day and working a 9-hour shift, work-life always takes a toll on our social life and not everyone can strike a balance between personal and professional life. While travelling to work or staring at our office laptops, we always wonder the beautiful moments spend with family and friends. We crave for the weekend to come soon so that we can spend some quality time at home with family or head out for a party with friends. Finally, due to the ongoing COVID-19 scare and lockdown, we have gotten a chance to be with our families at home and give our relationship the time and attention that it always lacked. Agree or not, the COVID-19 lockdown is a blessing in disguise for everyone, who had a busy work schedule because of which their personal life suffered. Now is the time to cherish some family time with your parents, husband or kids that you weren’t able to give before. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are making sure to spend quality time with each other and parents at home. Virat and Anushka also give their fans a glimpse of their family time. And April 7, 2020, is no different.
A while back, Anushka Sharma posted a picture of a game of their Monopoly with hubby, Virat Kohli and her parents. Speaking about the importance of family in our lives, Anushka wrote, “It’s from our primary care givers - family that we learn how to tread the journey of life, how to walk, how to eat, how to socialize & then face the world. This forms our initial conditioning that has a lasting impact on us. In the world we inhabit today, there is a lot of uncertainty and I'm sure a lot of you have found that solace & sense of familiarity with your families.”
Anushka Sharma further talked about making the most of the moments in the lockdown with the precious ones in your life, “Stay at home to take care of everyone precious in your lives. And also make the most of these moments ... smile, laugh, share, show affection, clear mis-understandings, develop stronger/healthier bonds, discuss life and dreams and pray for a better tomorrow. We all have been moved deeply, we all have been affected deeply and hopefully we will carry forward these lessons in the days to come. And hopefully, we have all conditioned ourselves to relook at the world we inhabited before all of this happened... P.S. : It was a super close game of Monopoly and the competitive side of everyone was out there. Any guesses who won??” (Also Read: Mira Kapoor Trolls Husband, Shahid Kapoor Over A Silly Question And We Cannot Stop Laughing)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked the citizens of India to shut the lights of their home on April 5, 2020, at 9 pm for 9 minutes and light candles or diyas or flash mobile lights to ward off the darkness that surrounds the prolonged Coronavirus pandemic and welcomed a ray of brightness. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma too, had lit up diyas at their home and had given a glimpse of the same. Virat had reposted Anushka’s post and had captioned it, “A prayer in unity does make a difference. Pray for every being and stand together.”

Anushka Sharma had penned down a long note, elaborating on why she has been lighting a diya every day for years now. She had written, “I light a diya everyday for many years now. And as I light the diya I seek guidance, asking for the darkness in me to be dispelled. For many days since the turn of the recent events across the world, I have prayed to God to end the suffering of so many who are losing their lives without their families beside them, for the less-fortunate and the needy whose lives have turned upside down completely, for all the healthcare professionals who are working tirelessly & bravely to protect the lives of other beings, for those who are uncertain about their jobs and future. So tonight, I prayed extra for everyone and I lit diyas with the whole of India and we all prayed for each other. Prayers never go in vain.”
On April 2, 2020, Virat Kohli had joined former England batsman, Kevin Pietersen in an Instagram Live video session but it was his wife, Anushka Sharma’s comment that had made everyone go ‘awww’! Giving her husband a timely reminder, Anushka had written, ‘Chalo chalo dinner time’. Sharing a screenshot, Kevin had written, “When the BOSS said time was up, time was up! @anushkasharma @virat.kohli Hope you all enjoyed that? Just two dudes hanging out.” A fan page had Virat’s reaction to Anushka’s comment and it’s even more adorable.
