Shark Tank India 4 has been keeping the fans glued to their seats. With Gaurav Taneja's appearance on the show, and several other entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas and securing deals with the founders, the show is now one of the favourites among others. Well, it was YouTuber, Gaurav Taneja, who, after arriving on the show, said that Sharks had asked him to stop doing YouTube and put all his efforts into his business, which is a protein brand. After this, it was shark, Anupam Mittal who again slammed an influencer after he pitched his business idea on the show.
Recently, a businessman and finance influencer, Vijay Nihalchandani appeared on the show, Shark Tank India 4. Vijay came on the show with his wife, brother, and business partner to pitch their business idea with the app, Make My Payment. Make My Payment is an app that sends auto-generated messages to debtors to remind them about payments. The pitches demanded Rs. 30 lakh for 3% equity. Anupam Mittal then asked the total number of users there. To which, Vijay's wife revealed that there are currently 200 users and 3500 sign-ups. Anupam then commented that Vijay is making Rs. 30K per month with his business, thus, he could just try his hands on street carts. He blurted out:
"You're making Rs 30,000 per month, isse acha thela laga lo”.
On the other hand, the other sharks too, remained unimpressed with Vijay Nihalchandani's pitch, and boAt CEO, Aman Gupta asked him if he does anything apart from business. To this, Vijay revealed that he's a social media influencer. Upon asking how much he earns from the social media handle, he said he has 1 million followers, and he currently earns Rs. 5 lakh from the same. While this impressed Peyush Bansal, others were not that much enthusiastic.
Well, upon learning Vijay's earnings from IG, Anupam again made a harsh comment by asking him why he is bothered by this business when he's making this much money. After the pitch, Namita Thapar questioned Peyush for his admiration for Vijay's earnings from Instagram. Anupam, too, commented on Peyush supporting Vijay's massive earnings and said that it's not India's Got Talent, and added that if he thought it was so amazing then he could have invested.
Earlier, Delhi-based entrepreneur, Gauri Varma pitched her confectionary brand, Confect on the show and sealed the deal with Namita Thapar. Well, she was left angry with some sharks. While talking about the same on the Indian Express, Gauri shared that she felt that some of the sharks were dismissive. She expressed her frustration as on the show for 20 minutes, no numbers, except her company's turnover was discussed. She also remarked that she felt that either the sharks were not interested in business or the commodity or category didn’t intrigue them.
