The founder of Shaadi.com, Anupam Mittal often shares insightful content on his social media handles. Recently, he revealed the reason behind giving his daughter a middle name, and the post has gone viral with the amount of power it holds. For the unversed, Anupam Mittal got married to his long-time girlfriend, Anchal Kumar, back in 2013. The couple has a beautiful daughter, whom they chose to name as Alyssa. Recently, Anupam shared that when Alyssa was born he wanted to give her a middle name, and the reason behind the same was simply unmissable.

Taking to his LinkedIn, Anupam Mittal shared a photo of his daughter, Alyssa. In the photo, Anupam was seen holding his daughter in his arms. Along with this adorable photo, Anupam penned a long note. In the note, he said that when Alyssa was born, he and his wife decided to middle name her. He shared how, in most parts of India, girls' names get followed by their fathers' names, and later, they get changed into husbands' surnames, but all he and his wife wanted to do was to give their daughter the middle name of Anantara. So, instead of their daughter's name being Alyssa Anupam her name became Alyssa Anantara. The meaning of the middle name Anantara is limitless and Saraswati. He stated how even a small thing like middle naming a daughter can be a huge thing to do.

Talking about the reason behind the same, Anupam Mittal added that he and his wife wanted to convey some message to their daughter by choosing a beautiful middle name for her. Talking about the same, Anupam stated that he wanted to convey the message that she would not need to carry forward anyone's legacy. It was their way of telling their daughter that she is not defined by any man's name in her life and that she is free to write her own story.

Anupam further added that in a world where girls are identified with the names of the men present in their lives, he and his wife wanted their daughter to start as herself. Anupam concluded his note by stating that it was just a small gesture for their daughter, as they believe in equality in her and in her choices. Well, such a beautiful gesture from the Shaadi.com founder to his daughter is worth praising, and it surely touched the deepest core of hearts.
