Known for portraying a wide range of roles throughout his four-decade career, actor, Anupam Kher is married to actress, Kirron Kher for the second time in 1985 and has a stepson named Sikander. Together, they have built a supportive family environment while pursuing their passions in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Anupam Kher mentioned that the feeling of not having a child grew more assertive as his friends and colleagues shared moments with their children. He added that while he finds joy in mentoring young talents, there remains a void that only a child of his own could have filled. In his words:

"I feel the void now."
Even while Anupam Kher is content with his stepson, Sikander, he said that occasionally, he feels that it would have been pleasant to see a child grow up and develop a deeper bond over the years. Although it's not a major regret in his life, Anupam Kher admitted that there are moments when he reflects on how fulfilling the experience of nurturing a child might have been.
The veteran actor, Anupam Kher, said that although he had spent much of his life working, he felt empty after hitting 50 or 55. Kirron and Sikander's growing responsibilities partly caused this sentiment. As they became more engaged, Anupam realized that his once-busy home life had gradually become quiet, leaving him more time to reflect on what he might be missing.
In the same interview, Anupam Kher disclosed that he frequently thinks about what it could have been like to have his own children while dealing with youngsters through his organization, The Anupam Kher Foundation. He admitted that working with these children often evokes feelings of paternal instinct and curiosity about the kind of father he might have been. He said:

"Sometimes when I see my friends' children and things like that (I miss having children) but, it's not a sense of loss."
Anupam Kher clarified that while he sometimes feels that way when he sees his friends' kids, it's not something he perceives as a personal loss. He remains fulfilled by his work and his connections with others.
According to Lehren, it was discovered that Anupam and Kirron Kher had tried to conceive together but had failed despite obtaining medical help. Kirron was married to Gautam Berry, and Anupam was married to actress, Madhumalti Kapoor . Despite their efforts, the couple eventually made peace with their circumstances and focused on nurturing Sikander, Kirron's son from her previous marriage. Anupam and Kirron dedicated themselves to their careers and philanthropic endeavors, finding fulfillment in other aspects of life.
Anupam Kher is gearing up for his highly anticipated film, Tanvi: The Great . This marks his second directorial venture after his 2002 debut, Om Jai Jagadish , which featured stars like Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahima Chaudhry, Urmila Matondkar, Tara Sharma, and Waheeda Rehman. Additionally, he will be seen in Vijay 69 , produced by YRF.
