Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar of Bollywood, who is known for his exceptional acting and being the 'ultimate lover boy' has been through a lot. While he saw a lot of personal loss from a young age, god bestowed him with immense success and he became the 'King Of Bollywood'. Recently, his director, Anubhav Sinha, who had worked with him in Ra.One called him 'middle-class'.
Anubhav Sinha, who had worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One, opened up about the superstar and how he is still a 'middle-class' boy at heart. In an interview with Faye D'Souz, Anubhav Sinha shared that he has all the money in his bank account, but it is not what keeps him but rather his sister's happiness keeps him happy. Well, this quality of Shah Rukh Khan is the sweetest thing, and not a 'middle-class' one and it is a reflection of the person's heart. Anubhav Sinha said:
"It is so strange that he continues to be a middle-class boy at heart. He’s so middle-class it’s not funny. See, middle-class is not just about money. The last time I met him, I told him that he’s quite middle class. And he agreed (laughs). He has all the money in the world! But what makes you happy? Does the Gucci make you happier or does the fact that your sister is happy makes you happier?"
Anubhav Sinha stated that it was amazing to see how Shah Rukh Khan love his sister, Shahnaz and his children, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. He also stated that how Shah Rukh is 'universally popular'. He said:
"That’s an achievement. It’s difficult to be the guy who’s that universally popular — let’s not even talk about the money — to be rooted and grounded. He’s a phenomenal guy. I kept telling him, more than making this film, it’s a privilege to know you."
Talking about the 2011 film, Ra.One, which failed to impress the nation, Anubhav Sinha shared that he felt a major heartbreak as it was the biggest projects, and he felt the pain of it in his heart, chest and shoulders until 2019. He said:
"It didn’t turn out the way all of us wanted to do. It was a heartbreak, which I carried in my heart, chest, and shoulders until 2018, when Mulk released. I’d almost given up on myself as a director. I’d decided I won’t direct. I wrote Mulk in the next three days. I went out in the market, money took a bit of time. And then I went there and made it. It had become impossible to not make it."
Shah Rukh Khan arrived at Met Gala 2025, looking like a KING. It was the first time when he stepped out of his comfort zone. He wore a black-hued elongated coat in Tasmanian superfine wool with monogrammed Japanese horn buttons. The coat is a single-breasted one with a peak collar and wide lapels. He paired it with a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored superfine wool trousers. He completed his look with satin kamarbandh, which completed his look.
