On December 20, 2019, Ankita and Karan were blessed with God's wonder. Since then, their life is revolving around their munchkin. The celebrity couple often shares snippets of their life with Mehr on their respective Instagram handles. We still remember when the dotting daddy, Karan had revealed Ankita's pregnancy news with Pinkvilla on the occasion of his birthday. He had shared that his wife is soon going to give him the biggest birthday gift ever. He had also stated that it is going to be a new chapter in his life.

On April 2, 2020, Ankita's daughter, Mehr got ready for her first Ram Navami Puja. The actress shared a glimpse of Mehr's alta-clad feet. Along with it, she wrote, "Ram Navami Ki Shubh Kaamnayein! Currently, the entire nation is on a lockdown for 21-days to stop the contagious cycle of COVID-19. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ankita had revealed how she is taking extra care for Mehr during these testing times. The actress had shared, "Thankfully visitors had stopped coming even before the lockdown happened. Also, our staff stays with us. So there is no one coming and going from the house. Everyone at home is asked to keep the washing and sanitizing regularly, especially around Mehr. I am taking care of my immunity by drinking orange juice for Vit C and Tulsi tablets for respiratory health. We are devising new ways of entertaining her at home. Sadly, we take her around the house in the new pram when we have exhausted everything else. She loves music, so I play the harmonium for her and take music lessons, we dance on SRK songs... there is never a dull moment." Ankita had also shared that the new-mommies should boost their immunities to keep their child safe. She had shared, "Boost your own immunity. Breast milk is the best for strengthening your child's immunity. Stay home Stay Safe. Do not entertain people other than the family you are living with at the moment. Be positive in your thoughts.
